"This is our go to area for a walk, it’s great in all seasons. Wildlife is ripe, and the ducks and squirrels are very tame. Has its own live in swans who regularly have signets with them each year. Children love exploring, and there’s recently been a mobile coffee shop pop up in the car park which makes for a nice hot drink on an autumnal day"
"Beautiful park. Clean toilets, plenty of outsider space to run about and explore. Children can make dens in the woods and feed the ducks. There are regular activities organised by the rangers: we did a Halloween hunt yesterday. Car parking is plentiful, but it does get busy. There is usually a coffee van at the weekend and during school holidays."
"A beautiful Country Park to visit that has easy routes to follow. Car parking charges apply but very reasonable for staying all day. The heritage route we followed was mainly flat and suitable for pushchairs and trampers. Theirs a beautiful pond and interesting poems to read, lots of nature to see. You won't be disappointed! A small van to buy tea, coffee and yummy cakes and also a small visitors centre with toilets attached."
"Very relaxing place to get some fresh air. Plenty of place to sit and chill. Squirrels everywhere, good place to take photos of birds with good cameras. A lot of people bringing their dogs for walks which was really nice to see."
"Really great winters day walk. Stover Country Park is lovely, you can choose the distance that you want to walk, most people choose to walk around the lake. There you'll see numerous wild fowl such as Mandarin Ducks, Mallard ducks, Coots, Moorhens, Swans and Grebes. Dogs are welcome but remember to keep them on a lead when around the lake. There are other off shoots here and there, such as a trail leading to a WW1 memorial to the Canadian lumberjacks who worked in Stover to supply wood to the allied troops."
