"great price, kids loved it"
"Huge country estate with many options - camping, touring, dormitories and hotel accommodation -in lovely expansive mature grounds with great facilities. Adventure playground area is ideal for kids up to 14 or so with Dare Devil activities to challenging adults and kids alike. On site there is a well stocked shop and restaurant bar ( good food - reasonable prices) Easy to get to - sign posted clearly and 5 mins from the M5 Supports school and club trips and corporate team building events."
"We looked at staying here initially and decided to do a day trip instead to see how we liked it. I wish I'd booked here instead. This site is fantastic for the outdoor type. There's plenty to do, from the high ropes right down to mountain biking. (Some are additional cost) I loved it so much we've booked to come here next year."
"We went here for an evening wander along the River Dart. This is a fantastically peaceful setting, and has some really remote patches away from the activities. There seemed to be lots to do for children as well. We plan on coming here again in the future! Check out the hydro-electric pump - very impressive!"
"I came here a few times as a child, but last year I took my then 5 year old daughter for 4 nights camping. It was her first time camping and I was a little nervous that we were travelling a long way; however she absolutely loved the site, took full advantage of the pirate ship and adventure playground and was in absolutely no doubt we must go there again this year. The facilities are brilliant for kids of all ages with lots of activities included at no cost with the option to pay extra for things like a long zip-wire, high-level tree obstacle course, etc... The restaurant was nothing like I remember from my childhood days with food similar to options you'd see in a decent pub (the beer on tap is good too). Overall if you're after a reasonably active holiday with children, you'll absolutely love this site!"
