The taxi stank and in the end I got out early and walked because I felt so uncomfortable. Will never use again. Definitely avoid booking with them. It was Horrible."

"Terrible company! We were picked up from West Bridgford to travel to Lady Bay, the driver either didn't know where he was going or went the long deliberately!! The price was extortionate and went up even after we'd stopped, the driver pretended to be on the phone to evade discussion. In addition the taxi stank of cigarette smoke despite having stickers up saying it was no smoking. I would rather walk than use this company again and will be in touch with Rushcliffe Borough Council on Monday. DO NOT USE!!!!!"

"Do not use this taxi firm - we booked them to take us to East Mids airport and they did not turn up. It was 4.45am and we were due to catch a flight - they knew this because they repeated the details back to us. When we tried to call them their phones just rang out. We managed to get another taxi firm to take us but had to wait a long time because it was so early in the morning and this meant we arrived late for our flight. We have three small children so this was a stress we could do without. Apparently Abbey Cars have a fleet of just 5 cars and are cowboys who will leave their customers high and dry"

"Do not use this taxi company! We pre booked the taxi and it arrived half and hour late. Initially we were understanding because it had been snowing. Once in the taxi it became very clear that the driver had not idea how to drive in the conditions presented to him. He was speeding down icy roads and skidding the taxi. He drove through flooded parts of the road almost aquaplaning the car when it could have been easily avoided. He drove 50 MPH on 40MPH zone. He answered his phone whilst driving NOT USING A HANDS FREE. On reaching our destination the meter in the taxi showed that the fare would be £18.50 as quoted by dispatch but insisted that it would be half as much more than shown on the meter but said he would accept £20 for the journey. He did not end his call whilst discussing the fare transaction either. All in all a dangerous driver, who tried to overcharge and was rude. I advise that you use one of the other available taxi services in the Nottingham Area"
