"Over a period of a year I have contacted Livewell for help with my Sons mental health. I found the attitude of the so called ‘ professional staff’ lacking when it came to asking basic lifestyle questions regarding his symptoms. They just seem to appease my son, not looking at the long term affects and consequences. I would suggest anyone calling to get permission, from the start, to speak to the staff on your behalf of who you are calling about."
"It took me 5 years to finally choose a private psychiatrist who validated my experiences and has helped me find an amazing career and transform my thought patterns. Looking back at my experience with the NHS when I was 18-21, in the Plympton live well branch while I was severely stressed and bereaved, it certainly added to my feelings at the time. Retired/ retiring doctors with strong opinions and bringing their own personal problems into appointments. Vile receptionists which I will never forget. Being offered strong medication and when I didn’t want it being told ‘well what do you want?’ I will never forget the faces or names, and I hold them responsible for misdiagnosing me and contributing to problems. Since going private this has helped me to learn I was never in the wrong, and these people shouldn’t be in this profession. Avoid like the plague; will make your mental health worse!! Espescially if you are intelligent and have done some work yourself. They don’t like that!"
"poor support services, dangerous social care for adults, if your a single adult male, forget appropriate support, , just interested in making profit and hitting their targets to get paid, Don't bother with internal complaint service, it's a lip service exercise, and they either loose your complaint, or find that they did nothing wrong, Apparently it is legal to charge a disabled adult with only basic benefits as income the entire cost of their support package, yet we are paying for this in all of our council tax, so where's the money really going,,"
"Various Livewell departments have dropped the ball on my care more times than I care to detail. The majority of their services are poor. All talk and no action. It’s lip service. Don’t waste your time. Go private if you can afford it. I can honestly say that my mental health has only suffered further through Livewell, rather than improved. Shame on Livewell."
"Disgusting service, refuse to help people struggling without even talking or seeing them!"
