Reviews
"I just visited to teach. It's below average hotel by the looks of it"
"Doubt anyone will be staying here again until all the government asylum seekers have left, however, it’s really in need of maintenance work in many places inside and out pealing paint rubbish and full skip in the car park, large potholes on the main drive. Leaking issues, non functional hand dryers and no paper towels, disabled toilets full of baby chairs. A total opposite to my last visit and review shame."
"Not a bad hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but I doubt I'd stay here again until some money is pumped into it. To note: we did book last minute so I'm sure we were given one of their lesser rooms. The grounds are truly gorgeous and it's one of the most aesthetically pleasing hotels I've ever seen, and the lake you can sit alongside to watch the wildlife and have a drink is great. Sadly, the rooms themselves let it down. Whilst I see hotel rooms as a locker you sleep in, the lack of workable/reachable plugs, generic chips and abrasions everywhere, alongside some very noisy cleaning staff at 0900 on a saturday didn't leave me feeling too refreshed. However, for the price it's a steal and I'm pretty sure we picked one of the cheaper rooms as we weren't staying long. I'm sure if you paid out it would be a lot more enjoyable. They also do breakfast and dinner that we did not attend so I can't rate that unfortunately. If you paid more than the cheaper rooms I'm sure it would be fantastic but I can't attest to that."
"Amazing stay, we were lucky enough to stay in the oldest part of the hotel which was absolutely beautiful. There was a wedding on and we were still made to feel like top priority. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and the restaurant was a lovely environment to sit in. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Will be staying here again in the future. It was 5 star service catering and accommodation. Fully fully recommend."
"Such a beautiful yet disappointing visit. The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, we were blown away on arrival. The staff were very lovely and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served in a stunning room and the bar area was pleasant and comfortable. Unfortunately the room we were allocated (room 38) was not pleasant. The bathroom was in an appalling condition, rotten leaking windowsill inside the shower cubicle, a nasty brown stain running down the bath, the showerhead was thick with limescale and peeling, we were only supplied with one towel between the 2 of us. The main lights in our room didn't work and the two lights on the wall flickered continuously when switched on. The bed was not a double but 2 singles pushed together. The foyer / main entrance to the rooms stank of I'm not sure what but it wasn't nice. Its a shame because the main building seemed wonderful and I wish I could have rated higher but the room was just awful and looking at other reviews, it's not just our room that has these issues. Please address them, I would love to come back and be able to write the glowing review you guys deserve."
