"Had a lovely stay, everyone was friendly and helpful, it's about a 20-30 minute walk from city center with buses not far from the doorstep. Bed was comfortable. Free WiFi. Overall very satisfied."
"The room wasn't very comfortable and I wouldn't class it as a 4 star to be honest. Toiletries were rationed and the bed wasn't comfortable. The room was also up so many stairs, which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues or after a back operation (me). Mould all over the windows and such a warm room. Makes no sense to have the radiators full blast but yet have the windows open? The spa and bar was fine, think is what brings the hotel up to 4 star to be honest. Reception staff could do with some customer service training, the brunette lady didn't once wish us well to enjoy our stay nor ask how it was when we checked out, otherwise we would have highlighted these issues at check out. I've worked in hospitality for 15 years and I just felt the experience was poor for a 4 star if I'm honest. Quite close to city centre and the spa is the only thing going for this place, we may have just been unlucky with a cheap room but I wouldn't have paid nearly £100 for a poor night's sleep and not enough loo roll."
"I have had the most pleasant stay here. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The gym is very well equipped and the spa is tranquil and a really beautiful space. A couple of chairs in the spa would make it even better! Meals in the restaurant were absolutely delicious, I didn't have breakfast though so can't comment on that. The best things is that every single member of staff I came into contact with was incredibly welcoming, professional and attentive. I really needed a nice relaxing day and evening and you definitely came up trumps for me. Thank you, I will be back for sure."
"The room we booked was spacious given that it had a separate study room from the sleeping area, with an extra TV. This was very convenient as I was able to stay up late and do my research without disturbing my husband. The staff members were very polite, pleasant and professional in delivering customer service. Breakfast was good and to our taste. The location was a bit tricky as we weren't expecting the hotel to be tucked in between residential properties, which led to us missing the signboard and as such the hotel. That was just a minor issue as we located the property soon after getting lost. We have been in a few hotels in Nottingham. This will be our hotel of choice from now on as it ticks all the boxes in terms of our personal preferences. Keep up the good work!!!"
"Having booked the Beeches hotel and spa for my wife’s birthday I thought it would be a good idea and a treat with the use of the free spa. At least once a month we go to a hotel with spa facilities so as you can image we have been to quite a few in and around the Nottingham area. The staff are very friendly and attentive but on arrival after checking in we decided to go straight to the jacuzzi and sauna. There was a sign saying that the water had just been changed and would take some time to get to an acceptable temperature, so we decided to go in the sauna for a while and wait. After a short while we decided to try again but it was still freezing. I decided to go for a swim but that was freezing as well, and at that stage is when a fitter came through the pool area to fix the jacuzzi apparently. After that disappointing start we then decided to go to the bar and try to find out what was on the menu for dinner at night then to be told that half the menu wasn’t available as there is a problem with the gas supply so we had to goto a local eatery for dinner. The following morning we went down stairs for breakfast which was very nice but half way through our conversation was drowned out by workmen hammering the life out of a wooden frame. My wife and I just looked at each other and couldn’t believe it. So the hotel is very nice the rooms are very clean and the staff are good BUT after serious consideration we would not stay here again. Kindest Regards Mr Strafford"
