"I booked a one off oven clean (i should have called it a cooker, it is a 4 burner gas) for my 85 yr old friend. I pointed out he gets confused, is forgetful and doesn't use his oven, just the top. I WAS QUOTED £58.80. However, after completion, my friend was charged £80. The oven was cleaned, not the whole cooker as i misunderstood would be. When I rang, I was told 'this is explained in the e.mail love' I received no e.mail on behalf of my friend. Worse, my friend was encouraged to take out a direct debit contract for £10 a month. I had already explained he doesn't do dd's would pay cash and it was one off. I was told 'we offer our monthly dd contract to all our customers love'. I felt bad that this was not a good experience for my elderly friend who has a half clean cooker. To have continued, would have cost him a lot more, the price of a new one I suspect."
