"Very friendly and helpful staff. I use selco most of time and never had any problems highly recommended."
"Ordered online from Selco and the items which were sent, mostly plasterboards were damaged. One of the items they sent by mistake so I went to return in store. I waited half an hour to return one item as there was only one person who was dealing with returns. Shocking customer service. Each time you go to the Nottingham branch, the customer service is appalling. So many workers but always a delay getting help."
"Selco is a 10-min drive away from me, and I have been a trade customer of Selco since Mar2018, where I get most of my bulky building materials. The store obviously gets busy during builders' working hours-- which means queues can get long anytime after 7 till 4ish. I fully understand and appreciate that sometimes staff take a short break from all the madness in store from time to time. The store becomes more quiet from 6pm onwards, and I get served instantly most of the time around 6-6:30am or after 6pm. In terms of Products and Stocks, navigating around the store is quite simple (manoeuvring a big trolley packed with building materials will obviously be a bit more challenging). I didn't come across a product that is 'out of stock', which should indicate they replenish their stocks quite often. In terms of customer services, I do get frustrated every now and then when I am stuck in a queue (especially if the customer before need to proceed a refund, or have a lengthy conversation while enquiring about a product plus a bit of chit chat), or the delivery team messed up with that odd delivery by sending the wrong product, however I find the staff in store very friendly and helpful, and very often I get good discounts and good customer service as a trade customer. Some staff are very knowledgable too and can offer some good advices about building methods and their products ;) When their telephone line becomes busy aka they didn't pick up during the day, I just ring up again and a staff do pick up after the 2nd/3rd time, where I can get a quote, place an order and arrange a delivery quite quickly. Since Selco does not provide a specific time for a delivery slot, I do appreciate that some delivery drivers do ring up prior to turning up ;) I even ordered a beautiful kitchen for my home through Selco (where some of their kitchens are manufactured by another company called ByBA, and their logistics wasn't very efficient)! Overall, Nottingham Selco could perhaps review the area of queuing (e.g. free up a row in the centre and create an aisle just for queuing) and make checkout a bit more systematic. Otherwise, I enjoy really shopping in Selco! P.S. Their breakfast smells greasy but delicious as you walk into store in the morning lol-- their full breakfast is a bargain too! I never struggle to find a parking spot either ;)"
