Premier Inn Cannock South hotel Watling Street, Cannock WS11 1SJ

"Stayed in a Sunday on way to Manchester. Excellent prepaid rate of £40 for room. Also used the special dinner and breakfast package which is value for me bet if you are just eating here. We had a ground floor room, clean, tidy with black out curtains. Disabled parking near entrance . Staff welcoming and friendly and as much extra tea , coffee and milk for the room as you want. Extra available on the reception counter. Beef eater restaurant on-site for food - tastes good"

"Checked in today, booked this hotel mainly for the location and the fact its a premier inn i assumed the standard would be the same as other premier inns, how wrong i was! What a small shabby room we are in, worse than a travelodge tbh, carpet is disgusting there is a massive crack in the sink, Staff are not overly friendly or welcoming and asked about the advertised smart tv with catch up etc to be told we have never had that here!! Fuming that i have a second night to suffer here and will be sure to never return, went to the beefeater for a drink and the gas had clearly gone off on the lager so asked for it to be changed, didnt go down too well! All in all avoid this hotel and book a b&b as this is a 2* at best and nothing but a rip off"

"Upon arrival we were told that the restaurant was not operating, due to broken drains...apparently premier inn tried to email guest of the closure before arrival (this as happened a few times to me over the past few months so obviously it's something else other than the drains) I was allocated my room at checking in only to find that the room was already occupied (all I can say is that I'm glad the occupant was out at the time) how can this happen? The staff where great and very apologetic, it wasn't there fault but it seems to be that premier inn are starting to cut corners and staff, I've seen standards slowly slipping recently and hope it's only temporary and not more serious."

"Rooms spotlessly clean, warm, staff very helpful. A little more then you would expect from a budget hotel, bed very comfortable.. large TV, WiFi quick.. Very good value too, close to motorways Would not hesitate to stay here again"

"Staff polite and friendly. Room decent size though the website made it confusing so we essentially had a toddler bed extra then what we needed (we only needed a cot and 1 toddler bed, but it asks how many children so you put 2 and it gives you 2 toddler beds). Toddler beds quite high off floor and toddler rolled off said bed. Very noisy stomping upstairs above us, from around 4am to 6am easily which made it hard to sleep."
