"It's a decent size and indoors so that's ideal. I don't recommend the food at all especially it's price. Pasta was precooked then warmed up with hot water tasting like rubber. Didn't enjoy the food at all. Bike show was good indoors and can smell the fuel heavily and on your chest so not ideal if you suffer with asthma. Over all the ice ring was decent and the face paints was very talented. Kids loved them, also the circus went very well. Kids loved the inflatable penguin they bought out. Some staff wasn't operating rides much neither did they greet you or seemed happy. More miserable to be honest. Which give off a negative vibe. But over all for the price it was a decent few hours for my two kids."
"Updated 2022 visit! Visited on the 23/12. Was great fun again and a great family day out before Christmas. We didn't do the Santa Grotto, so can't comment on that. Parking their was busy but not hard to park we got there about 30 before the start at 11am. Worth noting parking was £5 for the day. There was a cloakroom charging a pound per item. Most of the rides are included there are some funfair games you have to pay for as well as food and refreshments. It's not cheap but the NEC never is!! Rides are loads of fun and plenty for young children my 6 and 3 year old could go on mostly everything. There was a bike stunt show which was cool. The Circus was great again, same show as last year but kids really enjoyed it. I spend about £150 all in all, but kids had a great day so well worth it. I expect we will go again in December 2023. My only issue is the NEC managing the crowds on leaving, we lined up for the coach, as usual you get people are rude, one barged my son and those who think they are special and try to push in the line. Everyone had children and most people lined up, so beware of getting out in the the rush.."
"Just came back from winter fun land, very tiring day but honestly very fun, the price is worth it with all the things going on, the Santa grotto was okish. My son was shy so wouldn’t talk to Santa but the Santa did try and talk and very polite, he got a measly toy, so not really worth it but got a lovely picture with Santa. The rides are a good mix, most were fun. The circus was good with the men acrobats and the bike riders in the ball, very fun to watch , mainly for children but have no idea why they decided to have scantily clad women dancing around, not very family friendly. The bmx riders going up the air was very fun to watch also. Good ice creams. Some of the servers and ride controllers can be a bit unfriendly , but only some, most were nice enough but the rest looked miserable and rude tbh. One thing I would avoid is the food, not tasty and not worth it honestly. Best to get some sandwiches pre made and your own drinks, it’s so expensive but I’m more bothered that the pizza was burnt from the bottom, the bbq chicken bites were disgusting. All in all the food was a waste of money and my child wouldn’t eat it. Please save your money and make some sandwiches instead. My son loved today. I would come again even with the bad points"
"Myself and my sister took our children n Saturday for my daughters birthday. Prior to visiting, we thought the ticket prices were good value for money (although a little expensive). We were very disappointed when we arrived! Queues for ice skating were over an hour (we waited 45 minutes but had to leave due to the kids getting upset), we queued for food for over half an hour only to be greeted by a member of staff at the food stand shouting at another member of staff and slamming things on the counter! We wasted so much time queuing for rides/food/ice skating that the kids didn’t even get to see the circus, go ice skating or see the stunt show! The kids were gutted and so I told my daughter she could go on the last ride that she was desperate to go on, only to be shouted at when after queuing for 10minutes by a man working the ride, that it was closing and it’s tough (this is at 2:36pm). Needless to say my daughter was devastated and left in tears. The kids was also really disappointed that they didn’t get to see the Grinch. He literally just walked by before we entered (during the opening show) but as everyone was busy watching the show most didn’t get to see him. I assumed he would be wondering around inside but no such luck. Overall very disappointing and we felt rushed and ran out of time to do most things included in the price!"
"At full price it's a rip-off but if you can get it discounted then it's pretty good over all. Good but with plenty of bad thrown in. Lots to do: the time flies in a good way and they limit numbers so hardly any queuing at all. However food and drink are stupidly overpriced and under portioned so do not arrive hungry. We expected some price gouging but expected good quality and quantity in return. You get neither. Had it been more reasonable we'd have bought loads but instead we bought nothing. All else included in your ticket price right: not even close! Loads of up-selling and stuff that isn't included when I visited over a week ago and I severely doubt it's changed. Confusion over car parking and what is and isn't included. All of the car parking machines were "out of order" and it's very hard to find staff who refuse to give you a name: I assume in case their advice turns out to be wrong. Santa is an awful rip-off and wastes a lot of your time too: definitely avoid. To end on a positive note: Circus was awesome!"
