Reviews
"Excellent little site with great facilities. We took the grandkids aged 7 and 11 for 2 nights and they loved it. Just a 2 minute cycle ride from the main cycle route around the lake"
"Great little field, very well maintained, quiet, plenty of water taps dotted about. Easy access to fantastic walks and cycling but no chance of paddle boarding so I didn't stay but recommended for beautiful scenery and anything other than water sports."
"Very clean well spaced out (covid rules) water available from several points, large bin for rubbish (no recycling tho) eventually found the elsan point thanks to permanent residents. Easy access to the waters and a handy ice cream van was parked all weekend (May bank holiday 2021) Will definitely recommend."
"Only a tenner for the night in a motorhome, which isn't too bad, though there aren't any facilities other than a fresh water tap and the offer of somewhere to empty our toilet, unless you're a member off the sailing club opposite. A nice guy showed us in, placed us on our pitch and relieved us of £10. It's a couple of large fairly flat fields, a little rippley, but we managed without chocking up. A short walk to a pub where you can get a decent pint and a pleasant, if a little expensive, meal. There's a local shop too, though didn't go so can't comment."
"I guess it really depends on what you are expecting from a campsite as to how you review it! There are no toilet or shower facilities, however you can use the ones at the sailing club across the road with prior permission. There is a chemical waste disposal, and fresh water. No Electric hookup. We had a fantastic time camping there with our friends and two young children. We both own campervans, so are fairly self sufficient which is required here. The field is fairly large, and we had to pitch up in the middle, as the outside edges are for regular visitors. It's actually the second time that we have camped here, and we will be back again I'm sure."
