"The location is great and room is okay but i was really surprised to not have my room cleaned or my towels changed ! The reception told us that since covid " we have to request the cleaning service as it is not automatic". For a £500 daily rate, this is quite surprising. Also, on weekends, the lobby is crowded and there is no guarantee that you can find a spot even as a hotel guest. We had to wait for 30 minutes to sit in a couch. At last, one of the elevators was out of order and again, a waiting time of 10 minutes to get to our room. Overall disappointed for a £1000 weekend."
"Me and my friend came in today for a quick drink. She loved her cocktail and I loved my cappuccino, it was delicious! Beautiful lobby and staff is so nice. Thanks to the young man who helped us with service even tho he was on his break! I’ll definitely will be back"
"Drinks only - was a bit disappointed with the service and watery cocktail. Greeted by a lovely host, we were sat in the window and told our order would be taken but no one showed for up to 15 minutes. When we got round to getting some service we ordered two cocktails and the bill. Partners drink was good- mine not so much! Interior is a great mix of hotel/workspace/relaxation and looks inviting and appealing. Would like to go again but maybe not in a rush when the area has so many good offerings. Saying that, it’s always busy and has a nice vibe."
"5 night stay for work and very pleased. Rooms and location, perfect for my needs. In particular the staff was exceptional and why I will be a regular guest. In particular, Eddie at the bar provided excellent service, makes a great Vesper martini, provided good conversation during slow moments (welcomed interactions for a jet lagged guest), and managed harmony with kindness and a smile during crazier nights. Highly recommend."
"Form over function. Not a 4-star hotel. The standard room is unbelievably small - I could barely open my luggage. There is virtually no storage in the room - and the little that there is, is occupied by various useless decorative objects. We had to ask for hand soap, as none was provided in our room. There are no standard amenities you would expect to find at a 4-star hotel (or even 2 and 3 star hotels, to be honest): hand soap, robes, ironing board, lotion, etc. The two outlets that are in the room are hard to find, and require a good deal of acrobatics to access. Only one of the two elevators were working, and was extremely slow. The mattresses are super thin and really uncomfortable. The hotel lobby is almost always filled with non-guests, making it virtually impossible to find a place to sit, at any hour of the day. Overall, the it's clear that "vibe" of this place takes way more precedence than guest comfort. It's a perfect and unfortunate example of form over function - standard amenities and comforts are sacrificed for the aesthetic. As a designer who appreciates good design, I'll admit that it *looked* very nice - but was extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient at almost every touchpoint. Really disappointed, especially for what we paid for it. The location is the only saving grace - but with lots of other hotels in that area - I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere."
