"Restaurant a shadow of what it used to be. More like an extortionate wetherspoons now. Expensive pie that the sauce inside tasted like a cheap cup of soup packet. Didn't come with gravy as it should have. Burger we tried also average for around £17. No table service just order at the bar which would be fine except they tried to add 12% service!! Pub was fantastic pre covid and gone downhill significantly."
"This is very much a pub with a couple of bedrooms in the attics - so it involves a lot of stairs. The rooms themselves are pleasant enough when you get to them and money has been spent on flashy things like copper baths and 4 posters BUT basic things like curtains (thin and nasty), towels (thin and nasty) and running a duster over a pendant light that was filthy were forgotten. There was no reading light. So I would not be able to recommend it."
"Wouldn’t eat here again. The pub is nice but I ordered a cauliflower steak that sounded amazing on the menu. When it came out it was nothing like the menu said, just a piece of cauliflower with no sides or anything and I paid £17 for it. Could have made a better meal myself. If you want to go for a drink fine but I wouldn’t suggest getting food."
"The location is very close to central london attractions. Pretty place, with lots of locals and... Americans. Great service now they reopened after the lockdown renovation. Good beverages, haven't tried food, yet, the kitchen is waiting to reopen. Plenty of outdoor tables and friendly staff. Overall recommend"
"Lot of character, cool place to stay and great location. Stairs are rough especially if you’re staying at the top. Awesome pub at the bottom too. You won’t get all the typical hotel amenities but most hotels can’t match this hotel’s charm!"
