"If I could leave no stars I would, absolute joke of a company. I cancelled my policy back in September and paid any outstanding monies at the time and confirmed with them that there is nothing else left to pay. 3 months later I get an email saying I owe £45 for cancelling the policy and it will be given to debt collectors if I don't pay within so many days. I already paid the outstanding dues when I cancelled it. Taking the P**S. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID."

"I will never use them again and would never recommend them. I have copy of the email details sent to them they then put them into their computer with a post code that doesn't even exist. Then took the money when policy came the post code was not on there. After the cancellation period they then got in touch telling me they could not find the post code and are cancelling the policy. I had to pay them £150 to change the details they put in wrong absolutely disgusting. Took it through complaints and even after sending copy of email with dates on they never paid money back or said they were at fault. Stay clear how many people do they do this to.?"

"Appalling customer service . Two days trying to get through by phone and still no response . Two emails sent no response . Requested a call-back and have been waiting over 5 hours . So many phone numbers for Brightside insurance Will not be renewing my policy"

"I called to let them know I've sold my van and won't be replacing it. They said I would need to speak to cancellations, whom after a 20minute wait, said I would have to agree to unknown charges in order to end the policy. After weeks of complaint by email they have said policy does not need to be cancelled if there is no replacement vehicle, it just ends when you inform them. That said they now want to charge me on cover for 6 weeks after date I informed them and a cancellation fee. Given my experience with them, I'd say that you would be very lucky if they were able to handle a claim smoothly and efficiently. In my opinion, do not use this insurer no matter what price they quote or how they handle new sales."

"After having unnecessary phone call from them on 11.5.16. about renewing my van insurance and previous calls from them that stopped after one or two rings, not giving any time to pick up phone I told them "NO NOT PHONE ME AGAIN FOR ANY REASON" I also said "Just send me the renewal notice and I will then probably go elsewhere", fortunately I did record this phone call which will be useful when I make a complaint to the Information Commissioners Office and/or to the police for what appears to be a form of harassment, since telling them not to call me again they have phoned me at least 9 times (my caller display does not always show a number) and again some of these calls are just one ring, not giving any time to pick up. Although we are talking about Brightside Group here the company of theirs that I am having this problem with is Commercial Vehicles Direct Insurance Services. I will not be dealing with this company again and I recommend that no one else does either."
