"I have regular appointments with Moira, every 3 weeks, without fail. Having said that, when life gets in the way, which it inevitably does, she’s flexible and accommodating. I love her friendly and professional manner but also, her work is beautiful and perfect. I have never been disappointed. I had the dreadful habit of stripping the skin around my nails and up my fingers when I started with Moira and they were a painful mess. Over the time I’ve been going, she has not only cared for and nurtured my nails (some of which were permanently damaged from my awful habit,) but she has helped me to stop the picking by nurturing my skin and encouraging my own self care routine too. Every time I go, she painstakingly makes my permanently damaged nails look beautiful with her dedicated care and attention and of course, her magic paste. There’s a lot of shame that goes along with a habit like picking or biting but she has never shown any signs of judgment or reproach, just gentle care and a quiet pride in her craft. Even when I slip and turn up with sore fingers she lovingly sorts me out. She’s wonderful and her work is outstanding. Long may she continue to be the reason my hands look the way they do today.
