"Everyone at the practice from the receptionists to the vets are always understanding that my dogs are anxious and try to put them at ease when they arrive. Once there they are always well taken care of."
"The staff are great, there is no doubt about that. Very caring with the animals, but the prices are extortionate. My cat recently became unwell, she was breathing extremely fast, so called up for an appointment. She was kept in for 2 nights, having numerous tests. It turned out she had fluid on her lungs, plus a heart problem, and she’s not even 3 yrs old. That bill came to over £2000, plus a few more medication, check ups and test bills followed in the next few weeks, bringing it to about £3500. She is now on meds for life, it’s costing me over £200 every few weeks for meds. My insurance apparently have a £1000 cap per year on a on going condition, so if it costs me a few grand, all I’ll get from my insurance is £1000 total for the year. So being a OAP, I don’t know how I’m going to be able to keep up with these on going extortionate prices that I can’t afford!!"
"My new adopted kitten has eye corneal ulcers that didn't heal, after over a month being treated and cared for by the wonderful Village Vet team in West London, I was referred to Barbara the Orthamologist stationed in the group's Winchmore Hill and Primrose Hill branches. She did very thorough checks in the eyes each time, made sure bacterial and viral lab checks are conducted to really find out the cause of the issue and explained everything in layman language so I understand the problem and specific plans along the healing process. Super helpful and followed up with his progress closely as well. His corneal ulcer has finally healed - it will take time for full recovery but it is finally healthy enough to heal by itself. The little one most probably has herpes although test came back negative but there're so many false negatives, however I feel that there's an Ophthalmology service I can rely on when flares up ever happen again."
"Great vets themselves, apart from a new one that forgot to order my dogs medication but the reception side not so great at all. Various insurance claim forms and paperwork which had been forgotten to be sent off resulting in delays, constantly having to chase for emailed receipts, unfriendly manner when I’ve been waiting in reception area, bad attitude and abrupt on the phone to the point I dread ringing up. Happened again this morning when I rang and spoke to Emma who seemed put out I was querying which vet my dog was seeing. Not the front of house service you would expect from an extremely expensive vets in Winchmore Hill."
