"I’m a diabetic and needed insulin (amongst others meds) as part of my prescription which is ordered online as part of my repeat prescription. My husband was made to wait for over 35mins whilst other people were being served with no update as the attendants all kept at the back and only came out when there was someone by the counter. The ladies there were very rude when asked for an update on the prescription, quite unapologetic and only told him at 5:58pm that one item from the prescription could not be provided. My husband is also a key worker who was impacted by this reckless, unempathetic nature displayed by these people. Dear Rowlands Owner. Please do not respond to my review with a copy and paste appreciating the feedback and asking me to contact “complaints”. Your generic duplicated monotonous response to reviews left about your pharmacy echoes the lack of service displayed by your employees. You are dealing with (sometimes) vulnerable people coming for their medication. Some are dealing with long term conditions that have impacted their mental health. Respect that or review whether this business is really for you / something you are prepared to offer and not just some source of revenue. Train your employees to be polite, to respect people who walk through those doors and set sensible turn around times for prescription dispensing. Where this takes longer, be courteous and let the waiting person know. Where prescriptions are submitted online, ensure these are ready by the date indicated on your system or ensure the processing time indicated on the online portal is extended particularly if you are consistently making people wait (as the reviews here clearly suggest). Referring people to a complains channel where you have a clear trend does NOT solve the problem. Check the root cause and make your response relevant to each review else don’t respond if you have nothing further to say. Governance of your business is important - you don’t know who’s walking through your doors. Keep it professional and the respect will be reciprocated."
"I phoned one Friday morning and spoke to a lovely lady with regard to booking a flu jab, I was promptly booked in for the following Monday at 10.30am …. Upon arrival I was asked to fill in some paperwork and no sooner had I done that I was called into the nurses’ room for my jab, the male gent that dealt with me could not have been any nicer, he was pleasant, informative, reassuring & professional, the whole process from start to finish was very well organised."
"Very slow, poor listening skills and they never seem to answer calls."
"I am not happy giving 1 star as they don't even deserve that! The member of staff I have I just dealt with had the most uncaring attitude about not being able to supply formula milk to a premature baby and her smile sarcastic attitude on confirming their wholesalers don't stock the required milk had another customer offering to stay with me as she was clearly shocked by how I was being dealt with."
"Having waited patiently for 25 minutes, I was repeatedly asked for my name, which was then mocked in the back, by whom I can only assume was the pharmacist or pharmaceutical dispenser. Almost every customer that I watched go in and out commented on how poor the service is. Idle employees, that are ill suited to work in a pharmaceutical setting, where patient/customer safety, expediency, customer service, discretion and general courtesy are all a must. This pharmacy falls well short of those expectations and the management should be ashamed. I don’t often leave reviews, but felt obliged to do so and recommend that patients steer well clear."
