"Receptionist very rude/ aggressive manner, doesn't give you time to explain why you need doctor, and told me they don't have emergency appointments full stop. 111 told me all gp services have them and they should offer them when it's apparant it's needed, took 5 mins via telephone with doctor to get prescription needed. Reception here are the problem need re training"
"My husband desperately needs antibiotics for an eye infection, he works away from home so needed an emergency phone appointment, so prescription can be sent to chemist where hes working, receptionist incredibly rude, told him to go to a&e if its that bad...he's been trying to get an appointment for days.....pretty sure a&e wouldn't be too happy to find out that's what gp receptionistists are saying, emergency appointments are for things that can't wait, but do not require a&e..(eg antibiotics) .the very definition of what emergency appointments are for. Think receptionist needs a refresher course on basic manners and what emergency appointments are for. NHS England website has this information so why hasn't she?"
"Not worth 1 star. I booked in over telephone for a tetanus booster for travel purposes. The receptionist confirmed I was eligible since it has been 14 years since my last booster. I arrived and the nurse told me that as I needed it for travel, she could not give me the vaccination! I asked under what circumstances people can receive the booster, the response was for work purposes. I asked if as I was a Police Officer, would that make me eligible, she stated it would, but she still refused to give me the vaccination as the "real reason" I wanted the booster was for travel."
"My partner called on the phone to get his blood test results and he was told they were all normal. He explained he still had symptoms and what could they do and they sent him links for a therapist and mental health support implying his symptoms were in his head! He called again a week later because he still had his symptoms and he was booked an appointment for a week after that call. On the morning of his appointment he got a text from the surgery saying his blood tests showed he was deficient in Folic acid and they'd sent a prescription to the pharmacy. So at this appointment we asked for a print out of his blood tests and found his levels were very low! The doctor we saw had no reason as to how he was told they were fine and that it was suggested he had mental health problems!! Disgraceful reception team there. They play with people's lives and health like they're God's. My partner also mentioned he had a blocked saliva duct and they refused to give him an appointment and told him to send a picture, then they gave him a prescription for tonsillitis! Needless to say, 8 days later with no improvement we went to the walk in centre and the Doctor knew straight away he had a blocked saliva duct and told him to stop taking his antibiotics. He said that any competent Doctor would have known this over the phone from his symptoms. Shows there's no competent Doctors at this surgery. Our NHS system from a GP view is failing it's people on a gigantic scale."
"Had a very bad communication through telephone today. I called in to check whether my son’s vaccine records are upto date. And the receptionist was so rude and was telling me i should not tell her what to check in the records. Very bad experience."
