"After a few years our very expensive fitted furniture has all started to delaminate. The plastic laminate is lifting huddling and on one wardrobe door has almost come off completely. You can’t keep the handles together and they come apart with use. It’s terrible quality and certainly not worth the money we paid. In fairness they are coming to address the issues in March. But three months wait. Shocking! Certainly not and isolate incident. My parents have it in their house and it’s done the same! Stay clear at all costs. They say they have fixed the issue with a new process but I really don’t have that confidence in them. Clearly these products are not durability tested."

"Brilliant from start to finish, Tom the designer spent a good amount of time being thorough and ensuring that the design was to my taste and liking, aswell as ensuring accurate measurements were taken for an odd shaped room. Lance the fitter was next level, the intricacy and detail of his work was sublime and I would certainly recommend Hammonds to friends and family!"

"Personally I would never use this company again. 2 year ago I had a fitted wardrobe, everything was great, little pricey but quality was amazing, the draws come out of the tracks and they sent a fitter round to resolve. If it was going of this review they would of got 5 stars. I decided to use hammond a year later to fit a unit in the same room but opposite side and also another room. I went into Peterborough store told them I want same colors as I have and grey in new room. The designer comes out , draws up everything in a profession way, he didn't bring any colour charts in so I said same in here please and grey in next room, I then signed the paper work thinking everything was fine. On the fitting day I let fitter in and go work, when I come home I see its in white and not the same colour. After lots of emails and arguments hammomds say they can't change the wardrobe as I signed for that colour, I tried to explain that I signed for that colour as the designer told me thats the same, I also explained to them I put the trust in them as they are qualified in the job so I believed they will get it correct, I signed paperwork work believing that colour was the same as no charts was brought in. The designer said I asked for white and wanted a different colour to brighten up my room , this is a lie and no such thing was said. Hammomd office said they cant sort this as its verbal and if I want to change colour it will cost me another £1700, I had to proceed with this to make the room look nice. I mentioned to the office that there is no way I would want two different colors in one room , I said if you wake up and go to work you don't put two different colour shoes on, so why would I want two different colors in my room. I did agree from day one that I signed the paperwork as I was in belief that it was the same color, I dont know what the colors mean and I didnt have any old paperwork to go off with. They made me feel a liar , they made me feel like I can't trust designers and also upset me and made me annoyed. I asked if I could have an apologie of the designer for saying I asked for something that I didn't and they said we won't be able to do this. The quality of the work is great and the fitter are highly skilled. Fitters get 5 stars. Very disappointed as I actually wanted to have two more rooms done with hammonds. If you are lucky and everything goes to plan then you will have good quality furniture but if you're unlucky like me then this will cost you a silly amount of money. I've never once wrote a bad review and always seen things as they are for price and quality , but this was unacceptable. I can't see how this is a lovely family run business, if it was then it would of been dealt with in a nicer way, they will do whatever they can to defend the company. To me it seems like the company comes first then the customer."

"Utterly useless company. Very disappointed, staff don't care, customer service non existent, if you choose Hammonds you are a fool & will regret your decision..... use anyone else. Store your stuff in bags on the floor, it is a superior solution to dealing with this company."
