"We used Battrick Clark conveyancing for our first property purchase and it was not easy. Communication at first was good, but it quickly dropped off and we were left emailing over and over, getting no response for sometimes weeks at a time. Often when we phoned we were told they were busy and we could leave a message. When we did get through it felt rushed. Our solicitor also didn't work Wednesdays and there was rarely any arranged cover. When we did have someone covering however, our experience was a lot better: prompt responses and a few helpful phone calls. We felt left in the dark throughout the process. There was no regard for the fact we were first time buyers. A frequent response was "it will be included in the report". As a result when the title report was received we pulled out of the purchase. We felt like if there was better communication, more care and customer service throughout, we may have been able to make that decision months prior. Our solicitor failed to mention details along the way that would turn out to be deal-breakers for us. Two stars instead of one because the "cover" solicitors we dealt with on the odd Wednesday seemed more attentive, polite and actually capable, when compared to ours. I would avoid this firm. The whole process was longer and more stressful than it needed to be."
