"Arranged a date to book for M.O.T, only to find out the garage was closed on that day. The person on the phone promised he would be there on the day. Wasted my time and petrol. So......... I ring a few days later and the same person was not listening to me at all. Instead blaming me and saying that everyone has got to have time off work. What a load of nonsense Avoid avoid avoid"

"Shocking service! Quoted £40 for a job, charged £80 after they'd asked for £100 once they had the car opened up. Then when driven out of garage, my gearbox oil leaked everywhere. Rang to complain as I broke down, they admitted to removing gearbox mounting and asked for car to be towed in at my expense, which I reluctantly did, once there they blamed the issue on something else and tried to do me a so called "favour" by not charging me labour but still charged me £30 for 7 litres of gearbox oil which apparently cost them £28 for 10litres. Then argued and showed attitude and terrible behaviour by the owner, almost coming to a physical fight when I said car was fine when I brought it in. Not happy at all and will never be using them again. Avoid if you don't want trouble as you will end up paying more than initially quoted."

"Gave different quotes, but then the manager settled the original £100 for clutch fitting. however, they fitted the wrong part [dual mass] and scratched it meaning i had to wait 2 weeks for a refund of £89.00 from Champion Motor Spares who supplied the wrong part. There was no need for them to fit it on, or use trial and error as one has a spring. The mechanics should've known just by looking, this same mechanic said it would be £150 labour for 'dropping the sub-frame'. And also said 'Yes, we do take credit cards' even though they don't. The correct part [solid mass] was procured for £140 which I find excessive, as I did not receive a receipt or any box/details that it is a better brand. It seems they just made up their original costs for labour. I only got one call to ask me this, and I understand the car is open. However, the call for it being ready was 90 minutes later which I will post soon. So they either didn't call me before they had the parts, or the job isn't as long winded as the worker said. So now, I'm presented with a bill of £240 for parts and labour. I was in the mood to allow it and move on, as I did not know there'd be delays with refunding the incorrectly supplied part yet. This was not their fault, but there was no need to put it on if they assume to be a professional garage charging kwik fit prices. Now the icing on the cake is that the manager said they do NOT take credit cards! This was one of the only reasons they managed to lure me in, as well as being neighbours. The manager explained they use to take cards, but they got a tax bill for parts. That is fair enough, but he needs to do something about his mechanics LYING to customers and inflating prices. Although I would've gone to lumb lane tyres had I known, there was a chance of me remaining their customer as many times u don't want to take a damaged car a few miles just for the sake of paying a month later. There are many reasons not to take card payments which i understand, but that is besides the point; they need to be up front about it rather than duping customers. Although the manager is a nice guy, and tries to sort you out, I think he needs to do something about his mechanics messing customers about. I would've given it one star, but they did get the job done albeit £50 above the original budget. Champion Motor Spares got the suppliers to refund the incorrect part in the end, which they shouldn't have even bolted on. Lying about taking card payments is however well out of order, I suggest he reprimands his colleagues and puts up a notice so customers do not feel cheated."
