"All insurance policies sound good - until you make a claim! One the items supposedly covered is medical expenses. I make a claim and then they tell me to claim against my medical insurance - they don't cover it! Buyer beware!!!"

"Revew Updated: Long story Short: my claim was initially Managed by the UK assistance. After 4 months they were still asking for the same documents I already sent twice, then they completely stopped responding. In January I filed a complain and after that the Italian branch took over the claim, which was closed and refunded in 10 Days. The way the Italian branch dealt with the complain would deserve a clear 5, but it cannot completely cancel the initial inefficiency. Old review: In late August, I had to curtail the trip because of the death of my father. I immediately sent all the receipts and detailed all the costs that I had. They asked them again a few weeks after , and I sent them. I've been asked for them again in December (sent again). Every time it takes 3 weeks at least to get a sign from them. It just seems that they are trying not to pay. ."

"I tried calling them and after being on hold for 1 hour, the call was cut saying that the offices are now closed (30 min before their closing time). It later turned out that it was a “special number” at €2 a minute. I was then asked to submit the claim by email and have not heard anything in 4 weeks. I wonder if this insurance is a scam? Are the reviews real? Good luck if you need them during your trip, you will be out on your own."

"We have been insured by Globelink travel insurance since 2017 and always acquire the annual worldwide trip insurance with cover of 45 days for each trip. In 2017 we visited Tibet and the base camp of Mount Everest. My husband suffered a Thrombosis in the eye. On returning to Hong Kong on our way back to Europe, this ruptured and my husband needed very urgent medical treatment. Global Link Travel Insurance took care of everything and paid for the treatment without any issues at all. We continue to place our trust in this company and although we have had (fortunately) no further claims since then, we believe they will always take care of us should anything happen on our many travels ."
