"Terrible level of service, I don’t understand how a room full of at least 5 staff members in an open office couldn’t see me standing in the reception for a prolonged period of time before even being acknowledged, twice!. I don’t understand how you can order the wrong tyre size after being given the correct information 3 separate time, admit ownership then blame your computer systems. Staff here are pleasant on the phone, but I haven’t long left this place and can’t explain how bad the service was, from one gent in particular who just seemed like he couldn’t be bothered, never knew changing a tyre in a tyre shop would be such a hinderance. Thankfully managed to stop by a garage Close by who not only had my tyres in stock thankfully but also provided an excellent service."

"Changed the tyre OK, but it took them an hour past my appointment time to start, and then it took them 20 mins after they were finished to print off my receipt and give my keys back. They really need to speed things up."

"I was here today, I was quite happy with the place, I only needed a new tyre as I woke up to a completely flat one. Worth noting that I was here as they opened at 8am, but they took my car and it was done on 15 min. Maybe slightly over priced but it ridiculously. Quite happy over all."

"If I was to give a one line review I would say.. Horrible company and avoid at all costs possible. Background: Strathclyde tyres quite proudly offer Maxxis tyres with a guarantee which states "Run flat or damage your maxis and get a replacement free" I thought great as I needed two new tyres and went ahead and got them fitted. Six months down the line unfortunately one of them got damaged and damaged pretty badly so much so it would fail and MOT. I was due an MOT shortly after the tyre was damaged so I got this MOT booked in with Strathclyde Tyres and told them about the tyre issue over the phone and was told they'd have a look. When the MOT day came I was told essentially the tyre wasn't damaged enough to be replaced.. Really? I read the T&C's from Maxxis and it absolutely met the criteria, the fact it was an MOT failure itself tells the story.. Ironic thing is when I was sitting in the waiting room for my car the girl at the counter was trying to up-sell a customer a Maxxis tyre and her exact words were "It comes with a lifetime guarantee so if you ever hit a pothole or curb the wheel we'll replace it for you"... Eventually after some arguing James told me he'd replace it in the end to my relief, however he said my tyre size wasn't in stock and he'd let me know soon as it came in which should be 2-3 working days at the most. Guess what? 11 days later I've not heard a single word. Am I surprised? Not in the least., and due to how incompetent they are I'm arranging the replacement through Maxxis directly with a different Maxxis stockist. Unfortunately I wish I listed to family and friends before I went to Strathclyde tyres as I had heard other horror stories from them. The front office staff are all pretty incompetent and couldn't be any more unhelpful if they tried, sad but it's honestly true. I stood and waited at the counter for approx 15 minutes at point and not a single one of them even acknowledged me. Which brings me back to James which I have seen mentioned a few times in these reviews, he comes across as a really nice guy but he knows exactly what he is doing. You can make your own conclusions from there. My advice is to avoid Strathclyde Tyres like the plague for your own sanity, car and wallet. Stick to reputable garages, the good garage scheme website is good as the garages which are on it pride themselves on customer reviews."
