"I go walking here regularly and it's a nice open space. It's a valley so steep on both sides. The main path follows the river. Popular with runners, dog walkers and families"
"Great park. Big slopes on both sides (they meant it when they named it "valley"), pleasant burn flowing through it, nicely looked after. Look out for the outdoor stage flanked by trees, with seats cut into the grass slope opposite. There's a permanent orienteering route marked out. A great thing to do with kids (maps available for free online). Lots of space and normally not too busy. Great for dog walking - you'll meet lots of others doing the same. If you want to avoid bikes, keep on the side without the path. There's a small river ("the burn"). If you want to keep your dog away from that, then stay up at the top of the slopes on either side."
"A lovely walk with stunning views of Hillend, A theatre stage, surrounded by trees, is separated from the seating area, built into the Hillside by a burn. Don’t rush the stage. Tea in the Park, their Annual family fun day, Saturday 3rd September 2022 would be worth a visit."
"I love this place .. my husband and I often walk after we take my Daughter to school and I like that so many daffodin flowers"
"I have lived in Tollcross for most of my years and passes by here many times, the steps have been visible and always wondered what it was like. First time for everything. Well I am pleased to say it's a terrific space, perfect for walking the dog, you can go right on through to Swanston. Well this was the day. Loved it."
