"Nice cosy intimate feel to the place with nice modern decor touches. The food was good for the price and the portion size even better! Basic menu with delicious desserts with one or two basic options for vegetarians (burger or tempura, etc). A middle ground experience made better by the lovely polite staff. Thank you!"

"The staff are amazing and a credit to themselves. The starter I had was a disappointing fussy ensemble. The steak was cooked to my request with no issue. For dessert, I must observe, that the cheese board crackers are spectacular looking but devoid of character, even if an attractive shape reminding me of mosaic floor tiles. They proved a suitable conveyance method for a lovely array of cheeses however. I concede that these observations may be a matter of my taste in particular. We spent, collectively, a very large amount of money at the venue in a large party, the way the staff conducted the service is a particular highlight, given that members of our party are acutely aware of this high pressure environment. Well done."

"We recently had a celebration diner at The Long House Kilmarnock. We managed to get an early booking and was surprised that it was quite at this time though it got busier later on. We were warmly greeted by the staff and shown a rear table. The menu had plenty of choice and it had Halal food. The dishes that we ordered were varied but we all enjoyed what was served up to us. The only two faults that I would mention are that we were not asked if our meal was all right till we had finished it and also one of the large leaves of cabbage was well past its serving date. Would I go back ? Yes."
