"Bathgate store. Poor service. Gone right down in my estimation. Bad service, only two check outs open on the many occasions I've been in. Queues at the self check out area where Tesco is treating customers like cattle queuing up to be milked. An insult to customers, Tesco making them work and part with their cash in the process. Severe cut in service to customers so that they can coin in more money for very little effort whilst using as few staff as possible to run the store. Not nearly enough stock of lots of necessary items on the shelves. But you can get some fancy tat and sweets over on the right hand side of the store. Pathetic performance all round."
"I'd avoid this store if you're driving at busier times, the carpark has an odd layout and becomes gridlocked. By the time you've turned in, it's too late to get out. Stuck there nearly forty minutes on a Saturday lunchtime - only went on for fuel."
"Getting sick and tired of this store, A few times this has happened now. I’ve been shopping, the time before today I was buying alcohol as Christmas presents. When I got to the checkout obviously they asked for ID which I had, the woman then asked my sister for ID. I questioned why she needed ID as it was me that was buying it and I was standing there with mine in my hand. The woman was quite rude about it but eventually let me have it. Tonight I was in, again with my sister as I’d gone in for a few things on top of a birthday gift. Again when we got to the checkout I was asked for ID (which I had in my hand ready to show her) and then my sister was also asked. I asked why she needed it as it was me buying it, I told her she was 15 and she told me that we looked similar ages therefore she couldn’t let me have it as she would get in trouble if she was caught. My sister looks her age, I look my age, if not older. I could understand her not approving it if I was standing there with no ID. But I was the person buying it. It’s extremely unfair to assume that I was buying it for her. At the end of the day it’s their loss, I actually found it cheaper in another shop but what’s the difference to someone that looks over 25 and wouldn’t get id’d standing there compared to me? I’ve been in that shop many times with my mum in the past and she’s been buying alcohol and I’ve never been asked for ID. It’s an absolute joke"
"OK but overly priced on many products. Like many other shops, supermarkets. Clothes range is good, toy range is average. Staff are brilliant and very helpful."
