"Perfect place for family time. Kids love this place, it's a place to explore and watch wild animals. They have maintained each animal and their surroundings as per their need and really well. Please do keep a map in hand when you start watching animals as this zoo is really huge you may get lost. Don't forget or miss watching the penguin parade it's really adorable. I strongly recommend visiting if you have kids. This place also offers creating animals with the help of Legos (for kids). There's a cafe and restaurant inside and also a restroom at a lot of places. Wheelchair friendly It has its own parking."
"Very heavy rain today during my visit but still that didn't dampen my time here I still quite enjoyed it despite getting soaked. Maybe next time I'll go on a better day or even take a coat with me. Staff are wonderful too"
"It's just amazing. Very well maintained and organised. There is a huge variety of animals to look and the stars for me were the lions, tigers, monkey walk, penguin rock and pandas. It's a great day out especially for kids as there is so much to learn about animals."
"The zoo can be easily accessed by the rapid Blue 100 bus from Waverley bridge £1.35 each way. On arrival at the zoo you are greeted by steep steps or ramp. Once in the zoo the steep slopes persist. The zoo does offer assistance for those with mobility issues. The animals look healthy and well cared for. Signage could be improved to help with directions to some areas. Some animal pens are empty and some a little disheveled. The Panda’s are a little shy often showing their backs to the visitor. The walk of the penguins is a must to see at 2:15. Overall a good day."
"Great family visit and really lucky with the weather. The Pandas were impressive and the highlight but overall the whole place was very clean and tidy. The enclosures were very well maintained and also very clean. The only slight dissapointment was one particular member of staff who must have been having a bad day and was not particularly pleasant when we dare ask about what food was gluten free in the Jungle Restaurant but we worked it out and didn't ruin the day."
