Reviews
"After reading other reviews I decided to take my children (7&8F) here. What a day! The staff were friendly and informative, the zoo itself was clean and very well presented. When it got a little cooler we decided to head in to the cafe and soft play, prices were reasonable and the indoor waterfall really added to the warm and calming ambience. Definitely download the app, 25% discount on tickets and, you can scan QR codes to learn a little about the animals whilst in the zoo."
"Loved loved loved this zoo!! Got up close to some parrots and some lemurs. Big cages for the animals and they seemed happy, which was fantastic to see. All the staff were lovely including the volunteer who spoke to us about snow leopards and lemurs, he was just great! 5 stars to him!"
"One of my favourite places to visit. Though it's a zoo, you aren't always guaranteed you're going to see everything as some of the animals are shy or sleep in. Very lucky to see the snow leopards this time! There's a big car park at the front of the venue. I'd recommend wearing comfy footwear as there's a few paths that may take you to muddier/rougher areas. The venue has a lovely cafe, great selection of food and drinks on offer with friendly staff. Toilets are easily accessible. The animal selection is brilliant, my favourite part is the mice! So lovely. Thanks again for another brilliant day out! (P.s. you really don't need children to visit here, it's perfect for all ages)"
"Great up and coming zoo. We were here at the beginning of April so still off season and they were doing work for improvements and extra enclosures. It's a nice open space walking around and most the enclosures really feel like they're part of the natural landscape. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable when doing the animal talks and with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend staying there for feeding time which was around 3 for most animals as it was good to see the animals up and about. For me it's a really nice sized zoo because we did one loop around stopped to have some lunch and then could go round again to try and see the animals we couldn't spot the first time round. Really good day out."
"Lovely little zoo. Kids had lots of fun. Very much enjoyed the indoor soft play. Easy to get around even with a buggy (we had a running buggy with us). Clean and tidy. Only downside for us was that apart from a cheese pizza there wasn't any vegetarian/vegan option in the cafe. Definitely take your own if you want something else or vegan. Plenty of table for picnic outside."
