"I had fallen over and broken my glasses yesterday. However I was a long way from home. Because it wasn’t that long since I had got these glasses they had the same style in stock so I could have my lenses inserted in these so at least I could see and then I will get my lense that is scratched at my own specavwra in Berwick the girl who helped me was very understanding thank you"
"I was given an incorrect diagnosis at Specsavers which was picked up by an independent optician nearly a year later. This has meant I’ve had to entirely replace my lenses as the ones I received from specsavers did not solve my eye problems at all, so I have paid twice as much as I would’ve had I been diagnosed correctly in the first place."
"During eye test I. was prescribed varifocal specs. The shop was crammed and test seemed very hurried. On subsequently receiving specs and leaving shop I noticed left lens vision was blurry and heights for distance wasn't right. On returning next day assistant adjusted frames only and asked me to try for a day. After quick try out I immediately returned to shop as no issues had been remedied. The assistant seemed somewhat irked and passed me to another person. She then fully examined lenses, marked them and examined new and previous prescription. I was then seen by an optician who declared that a 'typo' had been made in prescription for left lens. I assume this was done by the initial optician . I had to wait another week until specs were ready. On returning I was given specs. These were not checked for heights by marking and merely given to me. It was clear that the assistant had no knowledge of previous actions, or at least she didn't mention subject. They seem fine as it transpires. Overall I was disappointed with hurried eye test and lack of care. In addition I had to persuade staff that there was an actual issue with the lens. I'm still not sure what actually happened with my new prescription which contained a significant error. Nor am I 100% certain that my new prescription is entirely accurate. Confidence in Specsavers somewhat rattled I'm afraid."
"I got seen at quite short notice and the optician 'Caitlin' was an absolute delight. So genuinely and bubbly but professional. She should consider changing career and teaching customer service, the hospitality industry could certainly learn from her."
