"Fabulous interior of this former Union Bank right in the centre if Edinburgh. Breakfast was good and very reasonably priced. It's really commendable that Wetherspoons brings these old buildings back so we can enjoy them."
"AMAZING ! Best meal I had in Edinburgh so far. The food is fresh, homemade. The menu is vegetarian friendly and there is a lot of choices ! The meal was not expensive. Thank you to the staff who was nice even if it has so crowded :) Negatives : you have to fight to have a table (so crowded) and the plates were a little bit cold…"
"Being a tourist I came back many times to these restaurants which are very well located around the city center. Big offer in menu, interesting breakfast or lunch time deals, hot drinks with free refills and specially lots of place and nice decoration in every restaurant. It's a nice alternative to have a rest and eat local food without paying a fortune."
"Very beatify pub located in the heart of Edinburgh high street market. The food is good for pub standards and it comes in very rational prices. Some applied also for the beer options, compared to anything around it feels like bargain. The venue is very big and it’s almost impossible to not find a corner at least. Definitely a recommended pub"
"A really perfect example of a 'spoons at its very best. The building is grade 1 listed and is phenomenal with incredible decor - the ceilings and windows are lovely. 'spoons has done its usual minimalist conversion to turn it into a pub. From the outside the building looks like it will have a dark interior, but there is extensive glazing in the main bar area which makes it light and quite bright on a sunny day. The bar's design is very in keeping with the style of the building and of a suitably impressive size. There are several smaller side rooms with a more intimate atmosphere. If the menu suits your meal preference, it is a great place to stop for refreshments - free refills on tea and coffee. As always, the selection of drinks is extensive and both food and drinks are well priced. No background music, just a pleasant rumble of human voices creates an interesting atmosphere - it feels like a public building, but not a boozer. Well worth visiting even if you don't want to eat or drink. Fabulous!"
