"Great service. Brought my Citroen Dispatch here to have the sils repaired and painted. Also lots of scratches fixed that was sustained at another body shop in glasgow. From the start the manager David was great , he realy went above and beyond to get my van repaired . In the end about 80% of the van was resprayed and it looks great . I would even say better than new . I was kept upto day with the progress of the repair and give the opportunity to see the job before all the handles and bumpers were replaced to make sure I was happy . ( I am a fussy sod.) I ll attach a few picture and would highly recommend this body shop . Thanks again."
"Friendly enough place. The carpark is full of wrecked cars so it's really Interesting to look at them as you arrive. You can grab a few coffee inside and they were helpful. Only issue is finding the place."

"I have taken the time to write this review as factually as I can - to warn other potential customers - think twice before taking your car here. I took my 68 plate Ford Ranger to Arnold Clark Accident and Repair Centre - Ratho - Edinburgh after having a slight prang on the rear of my truck. The quote was £500 and the manager advised they have dealt with Ranger's many times. Facts: - no courtesy car is offered unless it’s through an insurance job (I paid cash) - Estimated 3 days to do the repair - Asked NOT to wash the car - Cost £500 GBP - I was dropped off and collected from the nearest train station (5 mins away from centre) I left the truck with them for three days as agreed. First Attempt: Upon collection of the truck the following was an issue: - One of the clips that held my aftermarket wheel arches to the body panel was missing - The rear bumper which I had paid to have it correctly aligned to factory standards was pushed too far into the rear - almost touching the quarter panel (picture included in review) - After two days - the paint lacquer started to peel off and bubble along the top of quarter panel I called the body shop manager - he advised to bring the truck back for inspection – wasting 2 hours of my time to do so Upon inspection I was advised the truck will need to be off the road for an additional 3 three days and will need to wait two weeks to have it booked back in. Reason for the issue: The truck had a sports bar on the rear panel and instead of removing this to spray the entire panel - they sprayed around the sports bar - this is where the peeling / blistering happened - essentially they took a short cut. I had to provide the body shop photos and instructions on a) how to remove the sports bar and b) the distance in which the rear bumper should have been aligned to Second Attempt: The truck was sent back two weeks later and bumper was aligned + quarter panel was respray. Issues: - The entire rear quarter panel was riddled in swirl marks and scratches ( pictures attached in review) - The rear clip was put back, however they took one of the clips from my front wheel arch to substitute the rear one - thinking I would not have noticed this. Complaint process: I raised the complaint to Arnold Clark with the following facts. - No courtesy car offered for second attempt as this is only for insurance jobs - Rear fender clip was lost – then taken from the front arch thinking I would not notice this - The gap on the rear bumper was incorrect – I had to provide photos and guidance of what this should be - Rear quarter panel lacquer started to flake within 1 day of collection - Truck had to be dropped back off at the body shop at my expense in travel time and travel costs - Had to wait two weeks to book the truck back in for it to be fixed - Car panel is full of swirl marks and light scratches due to poor polishing / cleaning practices. Initial Compensation Agreement: - Agreed to pay my detailing bill to have the swirl marks removed - Agreed to pay for new clips (£36) Upon obtaining a quote for detailing the rear panel to be correct with a stage 1 polisher by a professional at the cost of £135 - body shop manager claimed this was excessive and therefore made no offer to pay what was originally agreed. He thought that the agreement was just to have someone polish the car up with some wax. I had to raise this issue with Arnold Clark customer services. The body shop manager tried to explain to me that I could bring the truck back to them again at my expense of my time and watch them apply a good wax to the panel. Body shop manager had no understanding that applying wax to a scratched body panel only covers up the scratches and does not remove them. I had to explain how a stage 1 polisher and paint correction works - thus the £135 charge. I requested a full refund in the end of which was refused. In summary - terrible experience. I turned down the original compensation - to allow me to share my experience with any potential customers. Customer service seem to be ok with bad reviews."
