"The sales staff were lovely but after sales horrific. Having had a large extension fitted we spent £10,000 on a kitchen from Howdens which included the flooring. Wanting a consistent uniformed look, we opted for the same flooring throughout the new extension. This included a extremely large kitchen, downstairs WC, an additional living area, hall, a extremely large master bedroom, en suite and walk in wardrobe. The flooring proved suitable until within approximately a year or so but then the flooring started to warp, bevil and LIFT from the 10,000 (!) kitchen, the WC and the en suite....proving conclusively it WAS NOT suitable for areas that will get damp or wet. We spent months leading to year or so bringing this to their attention and was categorically told not there problem !!!! Refused to accept any responsibility for the fact our flooring is now all needing ripped up and replaced in our kitchen, WC and en suite without so much as an offer of any compensation or gesture of goodwill....after spending 10k with there company. We are now going to be another several thousand pound out of pocket putting this right."
