"My brother and I visited the cafe for the first time in over 40 years. As kids we came here with our parents when we lived in Dalkeith but moved away all those years ago. So it was a special occasion as we reminisced. When you enter there are a couple of tables at floor level but we had to go up the stairs like kids. Sat st the window where you looked over the top and down to people passing. Food was great I had a panini with my latte. Served hot with side salad. The services was excellent, very friendly and even more interested when we we're asked what brought us here and gave the nostalgic answer. I'm so glad we went here. I hope to return sooner than the previous visit."

"Great food and lovely staff. Really nice white coffee and tea. My boyfriend and and I ordered a cheese toastie and an omelette on toast at about 3pm . Fast service, by a lovely family. We both enjoyed our meals here. Big portions, value for money. The toilet was spotless downstairs. I recommend visiting this cafe the next time your in Dalkeith."
