"A good experience. Rooms are clean and comfy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The check in is unusual but not complicated. And the access from the Costa cafe isn’t a problem. An overall good establishment."
"Pros- location. It's located near the paddington station and also can easily get to the subway line. Close to the hydepark. Cons 1. Room size - whatever you expected it's smaller. 2. No make-up room(cleaning) - They were not provide the room cleaning eventhough we stayed more than a week. To get the cleaning, you need to pay and book one day before the date. 3. All things by yourself - Changing mattress & quilt cover. Changing toilet trash bin. Refilling amenities includes toilet paper. 4. No elevator - They have inoperable one. 5. No microwave 6. Noisy. BTW the rooms likes toilet flushing sounds or chatting sounds. 7. Location - little bit far from city center or landmarks."
"This is a horrible place to stay, especially if you are a woman traveling alone! Good news: close to the tube; nice staff Bad news: neighborhood is sketchy at night; no peepholes in doors to rooms; no phones in the room. I asked what we are to do in case of an emergency & I was told that n that instance we are to go to their app. Are you serious??? Someone’s breaking in my door (remember…no peephole so I can’t see them) or the place is on fire & I’m supposed to go to their app? Not safe!!!"
"It was a great hotel. I don't know why people complaining about this hotel. It was really easy to check in and your free to go and comeback with a password. The rooms are small but perfect. Only thing of service. When people stay longer cann you make the rooms clean after maybe 3 days or something. It's a small tip!! Maybe see you next time."
"DEFINITELY THE WORST WAY TO STAY!! THE WORST: THEY CHARGE ME 100 POUNDS FOR THE CLEANING FEE . How ridiculous is that. When they email me they said it is because of the amount of trash in the room. Before leaving we tried to put all the trash next to the trash bin (tiny tiny tint trash bin) and when we called the CS they said they need more time to clean the room so they have to charged me. They promised to get back to me regarding this charges but its been 10 days since i called and never receive any email / calls from them Claimed to be an award winning hospitality service where everything is based on mobile service, so they force you to communicate everything from the apps and all the CS are based in US so just expect them to reply you very slow. Had to book in edgware road since its close to my business meeting and due to the last min booking i didn't check this sonder on google before (my bad); It has lived up to the all bad reviews in here. During my stay: 1. Walls are very thin and not sound proof so it was very noisy; my neighbour has a small child who cries most of the time (while i have to do online meeting); but i am not a fussy guest and i can understand having kids sometimes can be challenging 2. Not very safe. All the lift access are through the coffee shop next door where everyone can roam freely and not to mention that everyone can go up / down with that lift to your floor without any access keys. Which is kinda creepy especially for solo female traveller. 3. Room was pretty small, but whats even worse is how ridiculously how small the bathroom is. So small that u cant even open the door fully because there is a sink right in front of the door. And the sink drawer has been pretty beaten up. 4. They dont clean you room unless you requested to do so. I was having a hard time in the room because its pretty small and 1 have 3 big suit cases open so there are no room left to move around; hence during my 14 days stays i didn't request for any cleaning service. This is definitely my last stay ever with sonder!! Had another stay with them in the US earlier this year and got the same terrible experience as well."
