"A great pool and good to see it so busy at 8am on a Sunday in February. Outdoor pools are a rare thing these days and this is a gem considering it is tucked out of the way in rural Derbyshire. Temperature was 23C which is great for serious laps but not for lazing around."
"Shocking. 60 mile round trip. Took the kids and my wife they lasted 30 seconds. Water was freezing cold. It was minus 2 when we went in December and the water was ostensibly supposed to be 20 degrees. There were people in their with Bob hats and wet suits who also got straight back out. Never again. I do cold water therapy and I was swimming but only could manage 20 minutes myself."
"We really enjoyed it here. I think you have to get over the initial temperature of the water . Its like you expect to be jumping in something the temperature of a bath but that's not realistic for a pool this size. The pool, changing rooms, toilets and showers were all very clean and there's plenty of seating for spectators. The staff on duty were also lovely Would happily return sometime in the future."
"A wonderful pool, fabulous views, and a great cafe. Everyone is always so delighted to be there. You can't help leaving with a huge smile."
"A superb outdoor heated swimming pool set in the heart of the Peaks. We were lucky enough to visit as England slowly eased its way out of lockdown. It’s got sessions for members and public sessions available to book on its website, although be quick as they sell fast! The pool has a few free parking spaces out front and a paid car park and train station nearby for access. We found the pool to be clean, the outdoor changing cubicles are fine and there’s 2 open showers on site if you fancy a rinse. We visited on a day it had snowed in the morning and yes, it was a bit chilly getting your kit off (!)... but once in the pool you hardly notice. Swimmers were polite and respectful and the staff very friendly. It was a lovely day out!"
