"A MISLEADING COMPANY- I provided all my financial details and applied for a personal loan. It ended up with a PRE-APPROVED rate of 3.1% APR after a soft search. Once I clicked on the final APPLY for the hard search, they changed the rate to nearly 20% APR in a matter of seconds and encouraged me to sign the contract. Obviously, I did not proceed with such a crazy rate but you should know every hard search significantly decreases your credit score, no matter if you sign for the loan or not. So, this company ruined my credit history without any outcome. I applied for the same loan via another company on the same day and the APR rate remained unchanged after both soft and hard searches. Hassle-free and crystal clear. However, Novuna (the Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC) is more like a scam company. They first trick you with a small APR and then try to push you to sign a contract with a much higher APR after the hard search."
