"Great 1st experience for students to live independently; they can cook, have a mini fridge in their room, or choose the restaurant dinner each night which is included in the rate inside the building, which is excellent. Good laundry, & facilities overall and clean."
"Absolutely fantastic hotel for the location and price. Really comfortable bedroom, and staff were really friendly and helpful. Only issue was that there was no drinking water in the room, but there is a shop nearby called the Local Express (opposite the Lord Nelson) that opens late and sells bottled water!"
"My personal experience here was great! The staff were all helpful and friendly. The shower in our room was really good. The breakfast is 10/10; delicious and a huge variety. The location is amazing as you are close to 1. Tate Modern 2. Borough Market 3. St Paul’s 4. Shakespeare’s Globe and many more. And lastly, they have a luggage room!!! Which is fantastic if you arrive early before check-in and want to leave your bags so you can go out and about. Or, do the same on the day that you’re checking out. Brilliant"
"We stayed for 3 nights at the start and end of our recent trip to England. The highest of high points for this hotel is its price, particularly for families with several children like ours; we were able to fit into a few large rooms. They are dorm rooms, but clean and safe feeling and not cramped, which is all I was looking for. The rooms do not have TVs, but we had iPads and free WiFi, so it was never an issue. It should be noted that these are dorms, not a purpose-built hotel, but if you are looking for something more substantial than a hostel it provides great bang-for-the-buck (or pound). The location rivaled the price for the best aspect of this hotel. We walked around the Tate and had immediate access to the Bankside restaurants, the Globe (where we watched a play while standing up), and the Millennium Bridge (across which we went to Evensong at St. Paul's). A brief walk to a Tube or bus stop, and we were able to get anywhere in England! Within one block were grocery stores and other services, which meant we could conveniently finish our sightseeing days with a simple meal if we didn't want to eat out at a restaurant. Many reviews will mention the breakfast, which was excellent. With a bunch of kids, the ability to get a hot, protein-rich breakfast, some hot drinks, and a couple pieces of fruit was really amazing. Finally, I was impressed by the staff. We unintentionally visited during a massive festival in London, and so the hotel was packed with a lot of people from all over the world. The staff were positive and helpful in every interaction we had with them. Everyone I saw working in the cafeteria, reception, and housekeeping were efficient, professional, and pleasant. I would definitely stay at this hotel again."
"The location was great right behind the Tate modern with lots of places for food and close to two underground stations (5 mins to blackfriars 15mins to London bridge). The rooms were very basic no TV or fridge. Large restaurant with a good selection for breakfast and they sometimes do dinner too."
