Premier Inn London Southwark (Tate Modern) hotel 15 Great Suffolk Street, London SE1 0FL

"Good central location for sightseeing. It was an easy walk to the London Eye, The Shard, Borough Market, the South Bank etc. The room was very clean, bed linen and towels pristine too. We had breakfast on the 3 mornings we were there. There was a good selection for full English or continental. Staff were very helpful and friendly."

"Premier Inns are a known quantity and this is just as clean, comfortable and well laid-out as expected. I was in a Plus room, which was particularly nice (nice chairs to sit in, airy feel, real art). The area is good - a pub just down the road and lots of pleasant places on The Cut. And, of course, close to Waterloo and Tate Modern. Restaurant was rammed on Sunday morning, but there's a Costa across the street so not a problem"

"Only stayed the 1 night but it was great, a lovely spacious room with large comfortable bed and a range of pillows. Nice hot shower with a choice of shower gels. Complimentary water and chocolates in the fridge. Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant was closed but they directed us to the Premier Inn nearby for our breakfast. Would definitely stay again."

"I did work experience here years ago, the GM Anna was obnoxious, rude and very unorganised. Didn’t welcome me or even acknowledge me. On my first day, I went up to her to introduce myself and she didn’t even let me finish my sentence and cut me off and said “go make me a coffee”. The front of house staff were very nice and welcoming. Not many customers to cater to… it’s awfully quiet. The breakfast was always cold from what I could remember. I was delegated a front of house role but always was sent to the kitchen to wash dishes, vacuum the floor, arrange dining for breakfast, load the dishwasher, the lot. I really hated it here. I think if you are going to partner with schools and colleges and state a specific role, don’t make students do anything but that role! We have enough on our plate. I spent 1 day as front of house, the rest? I was in the back kitchen. I now walk past this place a lot and all I think is “I hated it here” which is sad. I hope things have changed!"

"Location perfect, especially for children as it's a safe area and not so frantic as the West End can be. Just minutes from the Tate Modern and the river, as well as plenty of places to eat and drink. The staff were very welcoming but the only issue I had was the poor wifi service."
