Blandford Hotel 80 Chiltern Street, London W1U 5AF

"Great little hotel. Rooms are small (but it is central London) but comfy and there's enough storage space for a weekend away. The bathroom was fine and the shower good and hot (always a bonus in a hotel). Breakfast was included, it was basic but had everything you'd want really-the usual cooked bits, cereal, yoghurt and a few pastries. A couple of minutes from Baker Street tube station (don't use the local NCP, we got robbed). Staff were really helpful and let us leave our bags after checking out. Would recommend."

"Breakfast wasn't good. Poor beans and sausages, average coffee. My room was very close to the kitchen so I was woken up early followed by constant people traffic. Just generally underwhelmed by everything apart from the great location."

"I'm leaving this review as I wished I knew what this place was like. Don't trust the photos online. I had a basement room with a window into the stairwell which was lit all night. No blinds on the bathroom window so the room was lit all night. You can hear the rumble of the tube all night from below. The room stank of a horrid smell from the toilet which would not go. Both bed lamps didn't work - one had no lightbulb, the other bulb was broken."

"14.9.2022 Stayed one, in room 1. Room nicely decorated and had a modern feel, however very small room and bathroom, no room to walk between end of bed and window to get to either side of the bed, TV lopsided, dim light over shower so difficult to see, one light in the bathroom had gone, need towel hook directly outside shower to hand bath towel rather than stepping out to get towel, sink tap set too far away form edge of sink so difficult to cup hands underneath spout, mice in breakfast room, cold breakfast. Not a good experience. B Lad"

"The Blandford is a lovely no-thrills small hotel in a great location. The staff are very warm and welcoming and clearly pride themselves on service. The rooms are fit for purpose, the air con works very well and the beds are good. Our shower had problems maintaining hot water so that was a minus for us. There was a minor fault with their elevator that meant we had to carry our luggage downstairs but I’m sure that was a one-off but does again mean some minus points. For the price I would highly recommend this hotel."
