Reviews
"A lot of noise at night. Uncomfortable beds. Poor breakfast choices and not allowed to use the dining room from 9:30-11am so basically as a cancer patient don't expect more than a couple of hours sleep per night. Cleaning staff were rude."
"Great location for UCLH. Staff are really great and choices for breakfast great."
"Considering this is a hotel for UCLH cancer patients, each stay is getting worse. From July the ovens in the dining room aren't working. After a few days the entry card stops working so you have to keep going to reception to have it reinstated. Breakfast and lunch is hit and miss. With the lunch menu 3/4 of the items aren't available or they forget to put your order in. The window/door in the room doesn't open, asked for a fan and still waiting! I could go on and on!!!!"
"The room was absolutely roasting because the air conditioning has been broken for the last month. We had a patio door which the staff can only open when vulnerable and at risk clients are not in the room for H&S reasons however our patio door was broken so throughout our stay, there was no fresh air! This is also a H&S risk!! On the surface the hotel is very clean but the amount of dust under the beds is shocking! I think it is a great initiative for the NHS to provide this option for patients however the maintenance at the hotel needs to be significantly improved. I nearly fainted 4-5 times and it was hard to ascertain if it was the side affects from chemotherapy or the unbearable heat which felt like standing in a fire. On a positive note, the young man at reception during the day was very professional and apologetic for our distress and discomfort."
"Great to have this safe clean friendly place to stay when we have to travel far to the hospital for treatment. Food fresh well presented . Staff very helpful and everything you need in the rooms ."
