"Staff accused e of being abusve over the phone and when attempted to report to management they took the word of the staff member for it and dir even bother to speak to me as a customer first They obviously don't respect their customers if it is made so easy for any member of staff to claim you are abusive. You are just a number to them"
"Absolutely awful - checked in as soon as I could and got my bed. Came back later to find that they double booked and someone was in it! They then tried to put me in a dirty bed with dirty underwear in it."
"Very rude derogatory receptionist and the supervisor. I rang up to speak a manager receptionist called Philip said "The manager is busy darling, he has 400 guests to look after it is only me you can speak to" I told him not to call me darling he doesn't know who I am and customers are referred to as "madam" he carried on calling me "darling" and laughing down the phone. When complained to his manager by email the manager said "darling" was not offensive despite me repeatedly telling him NOT to call me that. Despite the common opinion in some regions I strongly disagree: he would never call a grown up man "darling" and nobody would ever be surprised if a 40 years old man complained about being called darling or any other pet names by anybody."
"The location is everything, quite happening and centrally located. The place itself is quite congested and small,I shared room with 8 people and was worried about my luggage but everything went fine( u just need to be vigilant of your surrounding) .Was a good stay in tight budget. Love the live singing in the cafe downstairs, borough market,London and tower bridge everything is on arms length. Recommended for students on tight budget."
"Gotta set the bad reviews straight! I stayed in a 14 bed female dorm and it was great! Loved how the female section was separated from the rest of the hostel with a pin code. There were great lockers in the rooms, bathrooms were good (just found one toilet that didn't always flush, but everything else was great and clean), didn't hear any noise at all from the downstairs bar (that might depend on the room idk), bed was comfy and cozy with the little curtain that covers most of the bed. There's a little light and a plug/usb port above each bed! Staff were great too!"
