"I spent 2 days at the hotel and I can say that the experience was fine. The receptionists were kind and helpful. When it comes to the room, although it is small, it has a comfortable bed and good shower. The cleaning was ok, but it could be better in terms of maintenance ( the chair was broken). The great point about the hotel is the location. You may visit the main attractions in Westminster area on foot. In addition to it, the Victoria station is very close from there. Finally, the breakfast. Although it was good, It could provided us with more options. In general, I recommend the hotel and would come back, but I hope those points I mentioned be improved."
"Great location! This is why we chose this hotel. Yes, it's small, but it gets the job done. They had a crib for our baby, which was amazing, but it did seem somewhat dirty on the sides. There was a hole in the bathroom (which was completely redone), but after bringing it up, it was closed up the next day. No phone in the room, which was odd, so I had to go down to front desk when we lost power in the room. Seemed to be a breaker and it was fixed quickly. The person that checked us in was very nice. Breakfast is good enough to get you going, and the coffee is better than some other hotels."
"We had a double room and the beds were in 2 rooms. Considering our previous London hotel was more like a small room on a ship this was super spacious. So nice that it had a kettle to make hot water. Do suggest a shelf in the shower though. Great convenient location too. Breakfast was good nothing to gush about. It was nice to have something in stomach before venturing out. Will definitely consider staying here again."
"We stayed in room 110, in the basement. Despite the promise of COVID safety cleaning, whatever “cleaning” they supposedly did, didn’t get the mould out of the bathroom tiles or find the empty water bottle of the previous guests to the room. It didn’t manage to wipe the last guest’s hair out of the shower, nor did it get the blockage out of the bathtub drain. My travel pillow had more fluff than their bed pillows, and they put a singular extra strong spring in the mattress. At 7am each day, construction workers began using their power tools in the walls next to my bloody ears. Good morning. The paint is peeling, the room stinks, and even the sign above the front entrance is half burnt out. There was a hair dryer, but nowhere obvious to plug it in. The floor carpet had rotten away in spots. The shower came with “all in one” soap, shampoo, conditioner…rather than separate liquids for each purpose. To top it all off, it is built right over the tube, which you get to hear the rumble of all through the night. I will say some nice things, let’s see…it had a great…location. Yes. Victoria Station is a great place for tourists to stay, just, not at the Comfort Inn specifically."
"The only reason this review has any stars is because the breakfast was fine (standard continental) and the location was very convenient (less than 5 minute walk to Victoria station, 10mins to Buckingham Palace). For the price ($250/night CAD during off-season) my husband and I were very disappointed. There was construction going on daily right outside of our room that was so loud it would shake the walls. We weren’t warned about the noise, but luckily this was our first stop on our trip so we were up at 5am every day from jet lag anyway. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to sleep past 8:30/9am. The room smelled super musty at the best of times, and like sewage at the worst (typically the smell would worsen when it had been raining). The bathtub had obviously not been cleaned as there were still hairs on the shower wall from previous guests. There was also a lot of mould growing on the tiles as well as an insane amount of grit/grime buildup. Under the bed was the previous renter’s trash, and neither the drain in the sink nor the tub drained properly. For a hotel with “Comfort” in the name the beds were in some of the worst either of us had ever slept on - we could feel the individual springs in the mattress, and the pillows were so flat they were almost nonexistent. The bedding was clean though, and there were thankfully no insects so I suppose it could have been worse. Needless to say, we definitely won’t be staying here again."
