Nayland Hotel

"The main reason I would return to this hotel is the location. It’s a 5 min walk from Paddington station, meaning easy to drop off cases before heading back to the underground and begin exploring. The hotel itself is just ok. The rooms are small and decor is very much to be desired. The room and bathroom were at least clean however. The bed linen consisted of sheets and blankets? Not very comfy. The room was noisy, we were woke up at approx 5am by the most horrendous and loud noise… think was the radiator or pipes?! Took a while to get back to sleep. No tea or coffee facilities in the room?! You can help yourself in reception but I can’t say wandering down to reception in my pjs is the highlight of my stay. Couldn’t comment on breakfast as we ate in the nearby cafes instead which offered a full English breakfast rather than just a continental for the same price. Reception staff were friendly at check in and check out. Like I said I would return purely due to the location… however there are a lot of other hotels in the same area which did look better. If their prices were competitive I would look to stay there instead."

"Visited last September, it was a lovely stay. Really close to underground station, bus stops and various restaurants and groceries close-by. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Our room was a bit small but was well-kept, clean, quiet and everything worked well, enough lighting, hot water always available in the shower and we had change of towels everyday. Breakfast was simple but good. I asked the frontdesk to hold my luggage for some time after check-out and he gladly did at a really reasonable price. Great stay, truly recommend!!"

"Very happy with our stay at the Nayland. Fantastic location 5 mins walk from Paddington station. Although the rooms are compact, everywhere in the hotel was immaculately clean. Good breakfast, no full English but plenty of choice with very friendly staff. I would definitely stay again."

"The hotel was clean and tidy. Can’t complain. The rooms were kind of tiny, very tight which was slightly uncomfortable but nothing I couldn’t cope with. The breakfast was a bit basic but it’s free so that’s good. Staff were friendly. Would return."

"Location and the price are competitive, the rest is seriously substandard - dysfunctional internet, broken TV, broken door handles, customer info guide outdated and with holes in it, crammed and not ventilated breakfast room. Breakfast hours were reduced without informing guests. On arrival, discovered multiple better hotels in that area with comparable prices. Do not recommend."
