"Warm, clean and comfortable rooms, ours was a spacious double with plenty of furniture. Though the view was uninspiring it was quiet. Hearty breakfast with excellent service, plenty of parking and a lovely garden to the rear. The location is excellent, 54 bus stop is just outside and the heath is adjacent with Greenwich a picturesque walk away."
"It’s the fourth time we came here to The Clarendon and it’s always a pleasure to stay. The hotel staff is always very kind and we even could get into our room before 2pm. The rooms are clean and tidy - there’s an electric kettle (always clean, no chalk) as some instant coffee, tea and sweetener in the room. The floor is a bit squeaky but that’s the charm of a nearly 300 years old Georgian building where all brass elements (push plates and door handles) still become polished by hand. Toilets and bathtubs are big enough and clean. The mattresses aren’t worn out and comfortable to sleep on. The breakfast is a typical full English breakfast and before Corona you could still order a la carte. This time was buffet style and hey guys, I missed the black pudding (please add it to the breakfast again). Even there was a burst water main at a southeast London road and the hotel lost the water supply, the hotel staff could manage the situation very well and accommodate all the needs. A compensation was also offered. We’re looking forward to come back soon!"
"We stayed here as we were attending a wedding locally; nice hotel overall and in a great location. While there’s an on site parking it’s very small, thankfully we got lucky in the car park round the back! Breakfast was tasty but extremely busy with staff shouting ‘how many of you’ at the door from the middle of the restaurant. Our room was a good size and relatively modern, could do with water bottles in the rooms. Overall an adequate hotel with lovely staff."
"Had a lovely stay for 2 nights in room 241. Nice quiet hotel, easy walking distance from Blackheath station. Every staff member was really attentive and cheerful and we were made to feel very welcome. The included breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The hotel itself is well decorated with lovely gardens. We used it to base ourselves whilst at uni in Canary Wharf and will be staying again."
"We stayed for one night to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday. We had the family suite, one large king size bedroom and a large room with three single beds! Very clean & comfortable. Both rooms had fans on the wall. Small fridge in the triple room which was nice to keep some bottled water in! I was as a bit disappointed with the size of the bathroom and the finish to detail, but the shower was lovely plenty of hot water that’s why I haven’t given five stars. The suite was on the ground floor with easy access to the hotel’s lovely garden, which we used on Saturday morning after checking out to enjoy a pot of coffee under one the gazebos. Room Service was good and you couldn’t fault the breakfast. The reception staff were very friendly & helpful they made us feel very welcome also the restaurant staff were also very nice. If I am in London again I would definitely return! Lovely hotel, great location especially for Greenwich & the 02! Parking is very limited, but we were lucky to get a space!"
