"Buyer beware! No windows rooms queen size are super small. These are box rooms, if planning to stay longer than a night I recommend a window room. I didn’t become aware of this until I arrived and was stuck in this tiny room for 5 nights. Bed is placed against walls, very uncomfortable. Cleanliness I give 2-3 stars. The frame of the window was super dirty. Conveniently located next to restaurants, supermarket. Staff very professional. Due to room size, iron, and ironing board had to be requested."
"A great place to stay at if you don’t mind having to spend a week begging to the staff numerous times every day to set your aircon to heating because you don’t want it blowing cold air while it is -5 degrees outside. They kept deferring our complaints and constantly said it has something to do with all the people using the heating at the same time… it’s clear that they’ve been told they can’t switch to heating in any of the rooms to save cost and they were only kind enough to actually do it after I spent a sleepless night in a room where I could see my own breath. I switched rooms which was a bit better but still managed to leave sick. To be fair the staff tried their best and some of them were very nice and helpful."
"We chose this place as we wanted to explore Shoreditch on a Friday night. I would recommend to people to book in advance to make it worth it. I booked it a few weeks ago and it was £75, but my friend later wanted to join and the same room was £185 which I thought wasn’t value for the room. We had a room with a television and double bed which was good. Overall, I would recommend if you are in London for the weekend and have planned it in advance. On a side note it has an incredible building outside it which boggles the mind!"
"Really handy, clean, ideal hotel for an short stay in the Big Smoke. No windows in rooms, but they are fine. Difficult to get air con to work, though; it can get hot in those pod-like spaces. But staff were great. All good."
"A small hotel in a great location, just 2 minutes walk from Old Street Underground Station. The rooms are very small but quite nicely appointed and very reasonably priced for the area. It’s London Zone 1, you get what you pay for! The kettle, tea & coffee, and bottled water are definitely a positive. The cheapest rooms are in the basement and don’t have windows, but not really an issue if you’re arriving late and leaving early in winter. Currently the ground floor coffee area isn’t open, but there are plenty of nearby options for breakfast or evening drinks/dinner. If you’re staying on your own then it’s a good option. As a couple, you should definitely pay for a bigger room or better hotel."
