"A Premier Inn that hadn't come up on my radar before. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet street, near to the tube (we found St Paul's the most convenient for us) and the St Paul's area with lots of restaurants and shops. Service in the hotel was prompt and efficient and we were able to store our bags before and after our check-in and out. Typical Premier Inn rooms - functional, safe and clean. In this instance, we didn't use the bar or restaurant, just because there is so much locally to explore. One of the most interesting things is that the hotel is located a short distance from Smithfield Market. We were able to see the market gearing up for business on a late evening walk back to the hotel, which was fascinating."
"I've stayed in quite a few Premier Inns and this one was absolutely fantastic, from the time we walked in at 12:30pm they sorted us a room when we weren't supposed to check in till 3 p.m. The man on the check desk was absolutely brilliant, polite, smart etc. The property itself looks newly renovated and the room was perfect. Even when we checked out the cleaner was in the corridor and greeted us with a friendly good morning and asked how we were. As I checked out a different person was on the desk who was equally polite and well dressed, ask me how my stay was etc. Overall a fantastic experience and would give them 10 out of 5 if I could. (I don't write a lot of reviews but I thought I had too express how good this place was)"
"Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights. Appeared relatively clean throughout, although we found a sock from previous person in the bed (found it when the bed moved slightly and it fell down from between the bed and headboard, did make me question if the bed had been changed). Self check in was quick and easy. Hotel seemed new and modern. Hardly any noise, but like others have said no opening windows so it can get very hot esp if sun on the window all day so keep curtains closed. Thank goodness for the ac! Shower good side, sliding door and most importantly a decent powerful shower (with head that can be removed from holder for easy rinsing-a lot of hotels are in a fixed position) Towels needed to be fresher. Smelled like they had been in a dusty storage cupboard, and the second ones we asked for were the same, not good. Handy mirror light for doing make up. Unfortunately not a lot of hanging space/hangers and no drawers. Fairly small room so the opened suitcase on the floor made it hard to navigate around the bed. We would stay again as few mins walk to travel links Farringdon or St Paul's stations and many buses. Did not have food so cannot comment. But definitely make sure that ac works!"
"Staff: friendly, helpful. House keeping: very lousy, my room was not cleaned at all, and towel not changed despite I put it on the floor in the shower, what's the point of instructing your guest doing so if you don't follow your own rule? Glasses were not cleaned, tea and coffee complementary not replenished. You don't even have the door hanger to ask for cleaning or do not disturb. Such basic things are missing. Worst service of any business/budget hotel I ever stayed at. Cleanliness: it looks fine but the lousy house keeping made me doubt everything. The remote control was not inviting at all. Room: minimalistic but okay for a short stay, bed too soft for me. The seat cushion of the arm chair was not in good condition any longer. Location: just 5min walk from Farringdon station, very convenient to get around, even to destinations outside London. Location is the only selling point of this hotel."
"OK, it wasn't the easiest Premier Inn to find but once found, we enjoyed an excellent stay. All the employees were brilliant. It was a very warm summer weekend and you'd expect hotel rooms to be sweltering, but the lower ground floor room was cooled to perfection. The two lads on the reception desk in the late evening/early hours, deserve a particular mention - they really do the Premier Inn brand proud and nothing was any trouble. The breakfast was great too! Will be staying here again later in the year!"
