"I have been staying in this hotel for 1 or 2 nights a week, most weeks, for over a year now, for work reasons. If you want a bed for the night, a shower, a toilet and not much else - this is the place for you. Personally I’d rather spend the other £50-70 on dinner/drinks than stay at what would still be a basic travelodge etc. at twice the price. Jay on reception is a great guy and goes out of his way to make your stay as comfortable as possible at what is, at the end of the day, a very basic, low budget hotel. Location is absolutely fantastic with a very short walk to Paddington station. Understand what you are booking - this isn’t the Ritz, but it’s fine by me."
"I put 1 star because the location is ideal (right next Paddington station), and the staff is friendly. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for more than one night and because you don't have any other choice. I booked a double room with a window for my boyfriend and me. I was struggling to find something affordable with a great location a month before my getaway weekend, so I booked this place because it was central, and without reading the reviews but I should have. First of all, there is no space to put the bags, no hangers for our coats AND towels. This is the tiniest room I have ever see. I can brush my teeth and pee at the same time because of how close the toilet and the sink were. The shower was just right next to it and dirty. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets had stains, and overall, it smells moldy in the room because there was no aeration. We tried to open the only window, but we even had trouble to close it lol. The walls were super thin, and we could hear the neighbors. We are shocked that such hotels still exist in London. The most shocking part was not to have drinking water in the hotel. We also had to pay £5 to leave our stuff for the day. Anyway, do not ruin your stay in London by booking a hotel like this. Be smarter than my boyfriend and I and book somewhere else even if it is a bit more expensive but your stay will be better."
"Economical and basic room. Water not drinkable and no alternative provided which is extremely unusual these days. Hardly believable in fact that you can have a London hotel not obliged to provide the most basic of things that is drinkable water. Reception were friendly and room was clean and mine had a TV, although the remote did not work so had to fiddle about to work out the buttons on top of the TV that was mounted high on the wall. A good option for a cheap stopover in Central London but bring a bottle of water work you."
"Only positive is that we only stayed 1 night. Its cheap for a reason. Room smelt like smoke when entering, no toilet roll or handsoap. Infectious diseases would steer clear. You're better off sleeping rough for a night."
"I expected very little, and somehow got even less. Normally I'm an "As long as it's clean, even a basic hotel room is fine", but the room wasn't clean and it was easily the worst place we've ever stayed We literally got a small double bed, and the smallest "bathroom" you've ever seen. And that's literally it - not even so much as a tiny TV, clothes rail, or a shelf in the room to put something down on. I think a basic small TV is really the absolute minimum additional furniture that can be expected. The room was dirty, the bathroom was even dirtier, we were given 2 pathetic pillows which were so thin that together they barely counted as 1. When asking for more we were given just 1 more the same, and ended up just buying some more pillows There's almost no sound insulation between the rooms, so you can hear far too much of what's going on in the rooms next door or above. The window (which costs extra!) barely opens, the air conditioning/fan built into the wall didn't work at all. And the whole place, although cheaper than others, was still ridiculously priced for what you get. The staff were pleasant, and the one thing this place has got going for it is a decent location near Paddington, but other than that it's by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and easily the worst value, even for London. I'd avoid this place like the plague (and considering how dirty it was, I could almost mean that literally) If I could give 0 stars I would, this place is truly, truly awful"
