"Definitely never staying here again! Room was dirty, grubby and obviously used before and not cleaned. Beds were old and uncomfortable, coat hangers laying in the bottom of a very dirty ‘wardrobe’, blind was filthy, bathroom covered in hairs. Was greeted by a rude member of staff, who was disorganised and spent some time trying to find the keys to our room, insisted we pay cash, blamed her poor organisation due to the fact of a new baby in the family. Lights were turned off, very difficult to walk up stairs in the evening. Wasn’t told of breakfast times or where to go, wasn’t really told any information about the hotel or anything. Same member of staff was rude to us on way out too. Not worth the money at all. Strongly don’t recommend this ‘guest house’"
"Will not be staying in this hotel again. Dirty bathroom, soap used from previous person gross! Blind was filthy the lights were turned off which made it very difficult getting up the stairs in the evening. Rubbish already in the bin in the room. Didnt accept card which was an inconvenience. Also didnt have room key ready and we had to wait around for lady to find them. Didnt dare try the breakfast as they cant even keep the rooms clean. All in all this is a extremely poor hotel and i wont be returning and is not worth the money."
"Avoid this dump. Cranky owner/staff, they insisted I pay in cash but did not give a receipt, they grumbled when I asked them to fix broken light in my room, kept telling me “We are very busy!” to suggest I shouldn’t expect any better, tiny rooms, dirty carpet, grubby curtains, used soap in the bathroom from previous guest (disgusting!), nauseating smell from bathroom so I had to keep the window open at night to breathe despite being cold, I actually sniffed the towel and bed sheets to make sure they were clean, I was afraid to shower because the whole place felt so unsanitary. I was too afraid to eat the breakfast. The list goes on and on but that gives you an idea. I honestly believe that any positive reviews about this place are not genuine. And if you don’t believe me, then yes - come and see for yourself. Otherwise, there are about six other hotels of similar price all next to each other that you might consider checking out."
"Nutshell: Cheap, safe location, nearby tube station. Slightly rude owner, dated rooms, broken toilet, no WiFi and most importantly PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE. Be warned! I booked for roughly £60 a night during July. Planned to drive down, park my car and use public transport. Most important thing for me when booking was parking. I was a bit a dissappointed when I arrived, parking is a free for all. You park on the front drive of the hotel and have to block other guests in. Everyday the receptionist knocks at your door to tell you to move your car even though I followed their directions as to which slot to park in. On the day I didn't even block anyone in they still asked me to move my car so that I would block someone else...then asked me to leave my car in in my room in case they needed it! Never got the WiFi password. Toilet seat was broken and when you sat on it, the seat just fell off the toilet. Half used soap bar on sink. No toiletries. Two towels. Otherwise a very good and peaceful location. Easy walking distance from tube stops, close to Brent Cross shopping centre but you would need to take the bus there (due to the flyover and you cannot walk across it) Rooms cleaned daily if you wish Summary: Would stay again if I was depserate last minute, otherwise next time I'll try and find elsewhere with more preparation on my part."
"I do a lot of traveling around and stay in Guest houses or B&B's regularly, and credit where credit is due I felt the Regal Guest House deserved a comment. The accommodation and facilities were very clean, the breakfast was very tasty, and the service was excellent. Lovely all round, thanks again for all your help."
