"My girlfriend and I came here to have afternoon tea for her birthday. Wow what an amazing experience! The hotel it’s self is beautiful and the staff are incredible. Very kind, accommodating and more than happy to help. My girlfriend and I was speaking amongst ourselves about the fact it was her birthday and before we knew it one of the staff members brought out a lovely slice of cheese cake topped with fresh strawberries and strawberry drizzle, the best part it was complimentary from the hotel. A lovely staff member offered to take some pictures for us as we were leaving. Simply a great time and good old fashioned good customer service. Thank you guys it was lovely."

"Definitely not a 5 star hotel that they claim to be. Unkempt Dirty Old furnishings that were very worn Broken and missing advertised amenities in the rooms. We had booked two separate and both had issues - this was not an isolated incident. The staff were clueless, apologetic maybe, but still didn’t go out of their way to fix things. Extremely disappointed The price point definitely not worth it Carpets were horrific with muddy black marks Wallpaper stained Bathrooms barely cleaned in depth Broken vanity mirrors I spoke to several employees including management and all I got was insincere apologies and nothing offered to help redeem the situation Never a doorman present Even their concierge desks were messy, disorganized and shabby put together This is barely 2 star!"

"Wow, I can’t believe this place is still allowed to do business. When I booked this, I thought I did my due diligence. 5 star hotel, 4.1/5 ratings, great pictures. That’s the lipstick on the pig, so to speak. First and foremost, let me be clear, this hotel has no heat. The lobby and the rooms are freezing. And I mean no heat. Couldn’t even sleep in our room, so the best they could do was provide a space heater. That’s only the beginning. I’m generally pretty easy to please. But within the first 5 minutes I had a list of things that needed to be addressed. 1. There were several (more than 10) dead bugs. It’s clear certain areas of the room do t get cleaned often, such as under the desk. 2. The phone doesn’t work 3. The TV works about 50% of the time 4. Neither of the bedside table lamps worked. 5. The carpet is unreal. I wouldn’t recommend taking your shoes off. 6. There are large gaping holes in the carpet, not to mention stains everywhere. And the worst part, the management “seems” concerned, but clearly they really are not. How do I know? Well, first, they didn’t follow up but anything other than “that’s just the way it is” approach. And second, it appears that there are unlimited reviews stating the same thing. Absolutely avoid this hotel."

"Very warm welcome to this hotel. Staff were professional and kind. Although its very beautiful when you first walk in, the rooms are abit backdated and could do with abit of work. We had a deluxe king room. Nice and spacious with lovely decor but the shower wasn't working and we were in a rush to leave the following morning so didn't bother faffing about. Bathroom wasn't as clean as I would've like it to be. And another major downfall was that the air con was also not working. 21°c outside not too hot, but our room was absolutely boiling!"

"Went here for Afternoon tea with my wife. The place looks absolutely stunning, the staff are very polite and accommodating. There's a delicious assortment of cakes, sandwiches, scones and of course, delightful tea and coffee. Would thoroughly recommend. Also, if you can get vouchers through Virgin or Woucher then it's even better. Though I would even recommend it at the original price."
