"There are definitely some pros and cons to this hotel. First it’s in a good location, right on the high street and only 2 minutes to the underground. On the website they say you can leave your luggage here before or after you check in but that is a complete lie. I tried to check in early and they said the room wasn’t ready but they did say I could spend an extra 20 pounds to have my room cleaned and then be able to check in. Instead, I just paid 13 pounds to store my luggage with a company close to the hotel and that was cheaper. I booked a windowless room that’s in the basement, you can hear a fair amount of banging and thumping at night which can make it hard to fall asleep. The room itself was fine, it was clean and a decent size for a single person. I’ve definitely stayed in nicer but I’ve also stayed in worse. There’s a bright green light in the room so I would definitely recommend bringing an eye mask to sleep. You can’t change the temperature at all in the room, which is annoying. The temperature was okay but I prefer it a bit cooler. The bed and pillow were bit hard for my personal taste. This may just be a cultural thing, but they didn’t provide any hand towels or shampoo, but luckily there is a grocery store right across the street so you can buy shampoo. This hotel is listed as a four-star and this may be a cultural thing, but in Canada or the United States this would definitely at most be a three star hotel, so just be aware that. I would definitely recommend looking for somewhere else to stay if I came back to London again but it wasn’t the worst hotel stay I’ve had."
"The two stars are for Nick on reception who made a Disappointing situation better by issuing us with a 50% discount due to having to be down graded. Our original room had a superking bed with only 2 pillows, a bath and shower that sprayed out all over the bathroom. We asked for a new room and was told there were not any others in our category available. We asked to speak to the manager who after a wait arrived. First impressions of Steffan were disappointing regarding his approach and customer service. No introduction, he simply said I'll go and fix the shower. We explained we were limited with time and had a dinner reservation to make and simply wanted a shower and change and go out. We didn't have time to waste nor did we want the faff of having to change rooms again on our return. He had suggested we use a room to shower then change rooms again when we got back. I said haven't you got a better room for us and he simply offered us the down graded room. This room was smaller with a double bed and no bath. The towel radiator was thick with dust and damp mould spreading on the bathroom ceiling. Again Disappointing. After showering we came back down and Nick issued us with a 50% refund . Steffan was nowhere to be seen but had apparently fixed the shower. I since read reviews and can see this is a regular occurrence in this hotel. I would not return."
"Perfect location, the bus station was exactly outside of the hotel. The room was very clean. The neighbourhood had markets, banks and all the stuff u need. 24/7 reception. I recommend this for all travelers."
"The perfect location, the bus stop is right outside the building and it is only 10 minutes with the bus for Soho district. Also 5 minutes away with foot there is metro and near the hotel there are numerous supermarkets and and coffee shops. The room was adequate enough but we only used it for sleep."
"Unprofessional staff, noisy (you can hear everything happening in the other rooms and even the washing machines). Overall don't recommend it and won't book again. I prefer to pay more for a good service and more helpful staff."
